  • @jeff454ss, the mandolin's timing is ok, it's just that he plays on the 'off beat' this is very common in bluegrass music. As bluegrass bands dont have a drummer the mandolin playing on the offbeat replicates a snare drum to contribute to the beat.

  • Went back and reviewed it again and yep Im right. Mandelin screwing up the timing. other than that its pretty awesome. I love good bluegrass and this is good.

  • i seen a blue grass band at the county fair three years ago..kinda liked it..i think u guys really do a good version of this song! i like it. but they dont sell blue grass music up north here in minnesota.

  • Wow, i can't believe this i loved bluegrass music without even knowing i'm from Europe and i was introduced to bluegrass when i was young and watched wacky races i simply loved the tracks for the show only years later i came to learn what kind of music it was, i must tell you i listen to pretty much all kinds of music but bluegrass is definitely one of my all-time favourites. Congratulations on making such wonderful music.

  • all i listen to is bluegrass, i was raised round it grew up playin it, at home, and at church. i'll give you a little piece of advice, if you really like bluegrass look under earl scruggs he's legendary and so is Kentucky Bill (Bill Monroe) one of the best of all time, a couple songs you should look up are Foggy Mountain Breakdown, dueling banjos, Cripple Creek, Wildwood Flower, Salty dog blues, those are the most recognized.

  • @banjoman63 i know isnt it fun to just sit around and just pick away at some of these amazing songs. its so much fun isnt it. i grew up in Southern WV family has been in this area of Appalachia for 300+ Grew up around it, but never got into it till round 16, and i aint looked back since. I used to be in a Rock band Playing piano for em for 3 years but man that dont compare to bluegrass at ALL, i'm so glad i got into bluegrass, and Yeah yall do some mean pickin and a grinnin.
