Yes, German engineering is great.....when it's working. But the reality is that if you're going to buy a German car put some money aside for repair bills because those German engineers haven't yet figured out how to build a car that's very reliable and doesn't require frequent trips to the shop for repairs.

@ycformosa I hear you, I have two, I am suffering because I love the car but I have to get rid off it, since the car is not even 25k and already got gear box replaced and the other one has belt issues between at least other 3 issues per car. Both brand new 2008 cars with too many repairs done due to poor quality.

@ycformosa I think Audis in US arent reliable. I see a lot of people on youtube complaining about reliablity of them , and all of those people are from US. Now, i dont know if most of them are making things up (because as you know, everyone on youtube has an m3 or s5 :P), but in europe , Audi's are the most reliable cars, together with bmw, mercedes, vw, volvo etc... much better reliability statistics than asian cars for example which are taught to be the most reliable.

European cars are superior in every single aspect, especially in reliability. 1,9 faults reported on 1000 vehicles on average from Audis, BMW, and Mercedes is almost perfect score. Worst EU cars have about 4 faults (minor) on 1000 vehicles.The problem is, EU cars that are made for US market are not made as well as those for EU market, which, followed by worse fuels, dealers, services and probably bad maintenance causes their reliability problems.

@KatiushaVN4 You think so eh? The Audi has the same power in the us as in europe. If you look a BMW, Mercedes, Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche ect. the power is LOWER in the us market. Why do you think that is? In the car industry, us fuel is known for poor quality. Why is all koenigsegg cars down on power in the states. Best fuel in europe 99 RON = 95 us. Try and find that at your local gas station hill-billy. Stop making stupid comments, and go back to sniffing glue.

@yass2022 Believe it or not, a 2011 328i fully loaded is the same price as a 2011 A5 Premium with GPS. The 328i even has more horsepower and way more comfortable seats.

The Audi's exterior does look slightly better and there are a lot less common on the road.

@baldmutt In BMW u have a beautiful Driving , and handling , u enjoy it a lot , In BMW 3 series U have a lot of choice of engines From 320 to 335 is , BMW I drive system is amzing and symplified , not like the complicated MMI in Audi , plus The metal roof in BMW , which si not in audi , Thumb up for BMW , SO u made a choice??

@yass2022 I went with the BMW...MSport Package, navigation, keyless entry, black sapphire metallic, black leather and the black bamboo wood. I do like the body on the Audi, but unless you get the prestige, the car just doesn't match up. The prestige with quattro, sports package and comfort package runs almost $5K more, plus no maintenance included and a 4 cylinder engine.
