in mo st tarantula species the males pedipalps swell up and hooks come out on their front legs to hold the female up. usualy matura males dont eat a lot but they do make sperm webs, theres a special ay where you can sex a spider called ventral sexing which is picking the spider up by is sides and looking in between its book lungs. yeah usually the female goes after the male

well youd have to be sure shes ready to mate the way we did it was... just put the male in there with her lol. i power feed her 2 days before so she wouldnt be as hungry. and we put her in a different container with nothing in our way in case we had to bail him, first put the tanks side by side and after what would seem abotu 2 hours (it varies)lol hel climb out and go into her tank when he smells her he'll start tapping in the case she tries to attack him have a ruler and put it inbetween em
