  • Your automobile argument is flawless.

  • Was that one of your dogs snorring in the background? lol

  • @Mr1911guy LOL Yeah it was the dogs. I seem to either have them snoring or planes fying overhead, in all of my vids.

  • "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." q.e.d.

  • @antoineanfk As I said in my vid, I believe our freedom to own firearms goes beyond the 2nd Amendment. Just remember that an amendment can be changed or even removed.

  • I was at a friends house showing a couple of handguns. his wife thought they were lame and said they are for hurting people. I said only in emergency and only the bad guy. Then I said I enjoy them and really do not have act like i am wrong for it. She got quiet and offered me a peanut butter cookie. I am allergic to peanuts. She said it is not chunky peanut butter. I told her, Here you worry about guns hurting people and you could kill me with a cookie! now she wants to go shooting too!

  • @harpoclarx Great comment! Thanks

  • @harpoclarx Nice.

  • MORE GUN VIDEOS PLEASE

  • Glad to see you've finally got ads on your videos and can make a few quid from this. Great video!

  • @Riiye It's not much, but I'll take it. Thanks

  • love the video brother. all truths.. happy shootin

  • @XxJDG33xX Thanks

  • The ultimate bottom line is: If it were not for firearms, none of us in this country would even have the right to debate this issue! These people need to realize the only reason we have our freedom is because of firearms! The founding father's established this government based on this fact. Now more than ever, these freedoms need to be protected so we can continue to freely debate these issues for generations to come. The second amendment could not have been written any more clearly!!!

  • @AccuracySpeaks I agree, but I do wish the 2nd Amendment would have included more precise wording.

  • like you saying,,none of you dam bisniss.,, before watching your posts,i thought that some of my friends who like yourself are collectors of machine guns and more of them ,that they are too much overprotective, even loonies, cause believe it or not some guns have never fired a round.but now i hace come to see it as a passion and not a bad one.keep up the good work.pat those big puppys.

  • @armourdaddy805 Thank you!

  • i am retired army captain and know first hand the respect of ammo is must even for experts.not a matter of choice in that.but to ban it is wrong.everyone has right of self protection.

  • @armourdaddy805 Thanks for your comment

  • Very good vann.. Don't forget to go to Starbucks on FEB. 14...

  • @ls1dragracer Thanks bro

  • Let me start by saying that I agree with you and fully support our 2nd Amendment rights. But the automobile analogy just doesn't seem to fit. To say that "many deaths are caused by negligent car drivers, thus cars can be compared to guns" is like saying "many deaths are caused by food poisoning, thus food can be compared to guns". Our job is simply to convince people that the benefits of gun ownership outweigh the costs. Clever philosophical arguments based on principal won't change minds.

  • @lancemanyon100 You are absolutely correct; comparing organic matter that is essential to life, with a machine is absurd. I hope to use my comparision to show how our society looks at two mechanical objects, and how individuals should be allowed to own both mechanical objects. I also believe individuals should be held responsible and accountable for their use of these mechanical objects. I do not try to be "clever" or cute, and I do not appreciate the inference! I'm just articulating my opinion.

  • @GunznGear My apologies -- I didn't mean for it to come across that way. I only meant to say that most anti-gunners won't be persuaded by analogies at all, but only by whether or not guns can benefit them personally.

  • @lancemanyon100 No apology necessary! I sometimes receive comments from both anti gun and pro gun that try to dismiss my opinions, because it's not precisely what they want to hear. I made this vid to direct them to a vid that describes my position, as I find it hard to present my position in comments. I have said before, it's very difficult to change intrenched ideology. Thanks

  • @GunznGear ,dont know abaout intrenched ideology, but what do you say about usage of drones by usa in pakistan and all of asia.by the way you look like a fine gentleman and wish well to you and your loved ones

  • niceeeeeee ,video man very nice !!!!!!!

  • I understand exactly what your saying and agree with you 100 percent. However I can't really agree with the comparison. I am almost willing to bet that there is more lives lost in the US from car accidents then from gun related crime, or accidents. However the reason that people look at guns the way they do is guns where created to kill. A gun serves no other purpose. With that being said a gun can not operate itself.

  • @BDBakaJR Somehow I have been able to own and enjoy shooting my firearms for several decades with out killing anyone. There are also many firearms created for the sole purpose of competitions. My point is concerning is our freedom, and individual responsibility and accountability.

  • it's cuz of the anti-gun media namely the news corporations don't believe me? when the last time you saw a defensive gun use on any channel 'cept FOX?

  • Great Video Van!!!!

  • @RisArms Thanks!

  • i like the automobile comparison but it has some drawbacks...for example, when you're driving down the highway do you trust everybody around you to drive responsibly? heck no, people do idiotic things with cars all the time...now, imagine all those drivers are armed, do you trust they'll be responsible now? i think much of the gun debate can be boiled down to how much we trust others to be responsible and how to respond to "the irresponsible" for lack of a better phrase...good vid, tho, thx!

  • @dlizzle I'm not sure I follow you line of thought. Whether a driver has a gun or not, has nothing to do w/ their driving ability. It is very true that people do idiotic things. Some ppl would try to kill you, and that's why I said that having a firearm will give you options to survive. Trust, to me, doesn't enter the equation, as I trust very few ppl in this world.

  • ★★★★★

  • @TheMultiGunMan Thanks

  • i like this video van....its sometimes hard to explain to people why we need firearms...people ask me why would you own more than one gun its hard to explain to them "just for fun"....but its just like owning multiple cars...theyre fun....my ar is like your Ferrari, my AK is like your off road tuck and my mosin nagant is like your ford model t...ya know...i have fun shooting, im also responsible and extensively trainned in weapon safety

  • @RECONHELLROY Thanks for your comment buddy!

  • Great video Van! Very good points. Here we can't legally defend ourselves, neither with guns or any other tool, because in the eyes of our Lords and Protectors (and I am being ironic here, yes) that would make us every bit as bad as the people who attacked us in the first place. Imagine that...

  • @BobcatSchneidermann You folks "across the pond" really need to get together, and sort that out. I can't imagine living under such scrutinity. Thanks bro

  • I was just gonna do a vid like this. i know so many that are so against guns (not in my backyard types) and quite honestly i do not even engage. its a war that can't be won. I feel "What they don't know what hurt 'em". When I was younger I use to advocate and argue but now a days I'm way too busy to even talk about this topic with the ones that "refuse to understand" and feel an "unarmed society" is the only way. reason y i get leeway is i use to have to carry as required by my then profession.

  • @TheOl1911 Entrenched positions are not easily changed. Since I sometimes receive comments from anti-gun advocates, I can direct them to this vid for a more in depth description of my position. I don't believe this vid change the hard core anti-gun person, but it may have some effect on those less committed.

  • Again another great video from the beginning to the end.

  • @dumpersterdivers Thanks, I appreciate you suffering through this long vid!

  • I agree with many of your points, except this, in my opinion you cannot effectively compare guns to automobiles. The intended use for each is too different.

  • @passionforguns My comparison does not require the two objects to have similar intended uses, but rather their intentional or unintentional use can result in injury and/or death. Thanks

  • Is there someone snoring in the room? at 3:25 and again at 3:38

  • @coog7896 LOL yeah that's my English Mastiff

  • Ha! Another truly excellent point - the one about fire extinguishers. Very well put.

  • @FlyingPancreas Thanks bro

  • I agree bro. Some people just don't get it. I had a discussion with a friend of my son (from college), I told him m when you have a gun pointed at your head (like me and my wife had) you will think different. He said he would call the police! I said good luck with that, the cops would just go to outline your dead body, and to investigate the crime after your dead and gone.

  • @johnmed3 In a perfect world maybe we could depend on others for our safety, but then again, in that perfect world we would not need protecting. Untill that day arrives, I choose to be prepared to take responsibility for my own welfare. Thanks

  • Great point re. cars - which by the way are not a Constitutional right. I feel gun incidents involving legal owners, though far, FAR fewer than fatal car incidents, get more attention simply because guns are somehow more dramatic items. Also, Every one of our fundamental rights involves some risk. Consider "innocent until proven guilty," which often results in guilty people going free to ensure that we preserve the freedom of the innocent. Should we strike down the Fifth Amendment?

  • @FlyingPancreas I agree, maintaining freedom can often involve risk and sacrifice. Thanks

  • I completely agree with you. I've used the argument that even after a DUI, people can still have a driver's license. How does that make any sense at all?!

  • @TacticalPat It is remarkable in how some substance abuse is more socially acceptable than others.

  • Constitution FTW

  • @cnetrocks Some folks really hate it when that pesky Constitution gets in the way of their agenda!!

  • great video my friend van! awesome topic

  • @23mrcowboys Thanks bro!

  • Until gun control folks get laws passed making police "legally responsible" to insure our safety, they have no credibility, in my opinion. Courts have repeatedly ruled that police have no legal obligation to provide protection, thank goodness! Can you imagine living in a country where police had all the power required to guarantee everyone's safety .. think about that. I'm a strong supporter of local police. But it's ludicrous to think they can protect everyone, all the time.

  • @ElDub50 I believe gun control advocates have many issues with the credibility of their positions, and NO, I cannot imagine living in a country that you just described!!!

  • i very highly agree with most of this video. and i only say most because i didnt make it through the whole thing so i dont realy know the ending went. but there deffinatly is a bias when guns are involved

  • @masontrip69 Thanks for watching even part of the vid

  • Well said, brother. Oh, and I own more firearms than I do cars. :)

  • @GunsKnivesSurvival Me too, but do we have more guns than Jay Leno has cars?? LOL Thanks bro

  • Anyone that has cable needs to watch a show that comes on the bio channel it's called " I survived." Watching that show alone would make me feel way more comfortable to have a gun then not have one. Sorry for the long post

  • see it all the time. Now to my mother she thinks she's either going to get bit or that it's just gross to have a dog everywhere you go. But no one would think of making a bill that banned animals from places and most likely would say bad things to my mom for taking of such a thing. It's funny how when something affects someone's personal life they can here an opinion and understand it. But when it's something they disagree with they become narrow minded.

  • @Jokerswild298 I think ppl who have strong convictions are easily seen as narrow minded, because they are so focused on a particular opinion. I will say that when you are too focused it can prevent you of being reasonable, and that can damage the credability of you position. Thanks for your posts

  • @GunznGear...Awesome video and very good points in them. I just wanted to add something that my gf and I always talk about. It's funny that people that are anti gun seem to be very narrow minded and yes that is MY OPINION lol. My mother is terrified of most animals specifically dogs now I'm not anti animals at all as I have a dog myself but it's funny a couple years back unless you had a seeing eye dog you couldn't just bring your dog into a starbucks or walk around with it in a store. Now you

  • Great vid yet again, well said, good people can't own firearms in the UK.

  • @doublegit I hope you folks can turn that around someday soon.

  • The anti gun idiots try to say that there is no proof that a gun will give you any chances in that NEEDED moment ... you know I would just rather have the gun and take my chances!

Great vid Van ... 37 likes and no dislikes .. weird!

  • @ebomey I shouldn't have to defend or prove a need to own something. In a free society, I should be able to just want it. If I can own and enjoy something, and it doesn't adversely afffect others, then it shouldn't be anyone else's concern or business. Reason has to be applied though, I mean I don't believe that individuals should be able to own nuclear or other WMD's. I make that distinction due to ridiculous comments made to me in the past.

  • @GunznGear Oh BTW it does seem odd that a vid of mine has been up this long with out my dedicated detractors stopping by!! LOL

  • Don't forget a firearm gives someone of small physical stature a chance against someone more physically imposing. A seventy year old widow twenty miles from the nearest police station for example.

  • @glynn72 There's an old saying: God made men, and Sam Colt made them equal!!

  • @GunznGear Right on brother!!! Yes he did.

  • Let's put governors on cars so they can't go past the speed limit. LOL. Great video Van!

  • @tinghole I think that might hurt the sales numbers for Corvette's and Ferrari's! LOL Thanks

  • The reality of it all is that you are never going to be able to convince everybody of your personal convictions in life. I figure the best you can hope for is to live by your own convictions and try to do it as peaceable as you can.........

  • @FantomShooter Very true! People whose convictions are entrenched, will not change easily, I find that most ppl are not so committed, and they're the ones we should inform, so they better understand our position.

  • @GunznGear I just re-read my origional post.....I do apologise.......it might seem that it was a personal slam against your convictions and that was not my intent. I am a hunter and enjoy shooting sports myself. I have had the occassion to encounter those who have little understanding of what I do or why I do it. I do try to inform and educate where possible but I do find some that do seem to be currenty beyond reach. With those I try to co-exist as peacable as possible where possible.

  • @FantomShooter I didn't take your comment negatively at all!! I thought you were spot on.

  • Very well said. The auto analogy works very well too. I'm glad there are people like you who take the time to explain (what should be obvious) to all the anti-gun dumbasses out there. I just don't have the patience for it. So my approach is much more simple; it goes like this: "I carry a gun responsibly. I do not need permission to do so, nor will I ask it. It will not be taken from me. I protect my own and others who need it."

  • @PowerForGood Thanks I appreciate it! I agree that sometimes it can be frustrating explaining opinions, but in the case of firearm ownership, I don't feel I should "have to" explain my beliefs, but it is self serving!

  • Great vid man I agree 100% another point is the only people that will be affected by any gun bans or restrictions are law abiding citizens that go through the correct channels to obtain firearms, because criminals are going to get a hold of guns regardless of the laws in place just like they do now. And with bans in place that gets rid of one of the few deterrents against becoming a victim because the criminals don't have to worry about you having a gun in your home or on your person

  • @nit08 If I didn't mention the fact that criminals don't worry about following laws, then I meant to. I'm sure criminals are very anti-gun, as an armed citizenry creates an un-safe work environment for them. Thanks

  • To this extent and due to more talk of restricting firearms. I have paid for a three year subscription to the NRA. I put my money into this fight, I challenge others to do so to. I recieved my voter update the other day and it told me I was still in the democratic party. I know this is unpopular here, but as a member of the NRA I have pull from the other side. I am also a Ron Paul supporter, so take that Congress!

  • @harpoclarx I think supporting "special interest groups" and "lobbyists" like the NRA is very effective for what they are, but we should always take responsibility to ensure our liberties. I will never trust any entity with my freedom!

Neither political party is truly pro gun, as the most restrictive gun laws inacted in my lifetime that are still in effect, were signed by (R) Presidents (Ronald Reagan, George Bush the Dad) We must focus on individuals, not parties.

  • @harpoclarx RP2012!

  • In my experiences, the shooting community is more level headed, sober minded, law abiding, decent neighborly individuals that cause verry little of societies problems. It is the thieves and gansters and home invasion perpetrators that are causing the gun violence recently making headlines. In a society where these things are happening, how can anyone expect us to limit our choices for self defense. The police are always minutes away. A lot of things happen in minutes. I want choices.

  • @harpoclarx I agree w/ you, but I have to say that I've witnessed idiots on both sides of the debates. lol As I said in the vid, I prefer options also. Thanks

  • It's nice to see a level-headed, well-articulated argument in favor of the right to bear arms. So many times you see some yahoo ranting and raving about "liberals this" and "liberals that" and it does more harm than good. People who oppose our right to own guns need to see calm, intelligent, level-headed people expressing why we choose to have guns. That is what can change minds, not all the pissed-off argumentative craziness that is so typical with pro-firearm videos. Well done, GnG!

  • Comparing automobiles to guns is not absurd. It's a fair comparison in that both can cause great harm. I think the people who don't buy the comparison between the two do so because they don't see utility in gun ownership like they do in car ownership. Admittedly, there is probably more social utility in cars than guns in day-to-day life. But there is obviously a lot of utility in guns too - recreation, protection, and economy (the firearms industry is a HUGE industry creating jobs).

  • @danielprsguitar Excellent comments, Thank you! Their can be no doubt that automobiles are more widely used than firearms, but proliferation does not take from the fact that auto's cause serious injury and death. As far as utility goes, I have always believed that it doesn't matter. I shouldn't have to express a "need" in order to own something in a free society. Thanks again, I appreciate it

  • Really enjoyed the video I just hope those that need to gain this perspective see it

  • @ConditionLefty I'm sure most will not. I have a small channel, and the vast majority are unaware of my existence.

  • very well said GnG! your videos are top notch!

  • @gmelotto1 I appreciate your comment!

  • Cars are weapons to. Last winter a mentally unstable man stole a snowplough and ran over a police officer. The police officer is dead. Also up here in Canada we have a lot more people killed by cars then guns.

  • @BALJIT147 I have to admit, crimes commited while using snow plows are pretty much non-existent here in the southern U.S. Thanks for sharing, bro!

  • @GunznGear I have to say reading that to myself now I kind of made it sound like we live in igloos or something lol

  • @BALJIT147 You mean all of you folks in Canada don't live in ogloos??? The next thing you'll try to make me believe is that your main diet isn't seal meat!!! LMAO Thanks

  • @BALJIT147 Literally everything can be used as a weapon. Cars, kitchen knives, a desk lamp, someone's bare hands. Look at how prison inmates make weapons out of everything from newspapers, magazines, a loose screw, anything and everything has the potential to be harmful....even the fast food that parents feed their children. The sun kills people everyday from skin cancer, should we go live underground? We have all of the gun control that we need in America.

  • @bloodstone256 Thanks, I appreciate it.

  • That Mustache Says Bad Mother F@#$%&

  • @Blk05titan26 LMAO!!

  • Good video man, you are wise my friend. I had a guy attack me once because I said that the gun grabbing crowd was on the liberal left. It was odd because he said he had a ccw but dispised us conservatives and had a hatred for the NRA. He called us kool aid drinkers for supporting the NRA and conservative values, it was very odd

  • @brotherskeepers111 I value your opinion greatly, so I thank you for your comment!! Gun owners are like many groups, we have a broad spectrum of individuals and mind sets. I've had passionate discussions with gun owners who think their duck hunting shotguns should be protected by the 2nd ammendment, but assualt rifles should be banned. What made it worse is they were lifetime members of the NRA.

  • Great points keep up the great videos

  • @Chin66623 Thanks, I appreciate it!

  • Great Video Sir.. well said..

  • @chaosmagusgod Thanks

  • Great points, thanks

  • @splinterman9 I hope you enjoyed it.

  • I'm so glad I subscribed to you a couple weeks ago! Thank you my friend.

  • @lowervalleyguns That's nice of you to say! I appreciate it

  • amen brother! firearms are the great equalizer!

  • @1dabirdman Thanks my friend!

  • Great video here are some statistics I found, In 2009 33,808 auto deaths and In 2006 30,896 deaths from gunshots 16,883 from suicide,12,791 homocide,642 accidents,360 legal intervention,220 undetermined. Everyone needs to remeber the ONLY reason we enjoy the freedoms we do it is because of THE GUN AND BRAVE MEN with out those to protect your freedom you will have NONE. We need only to look at what happened to the jewish

  • @valencleo Thanks for sharing the info!

  • Question: Why did the format or type of ads change on this vid? I have made no changes that I'm aware of.

  • EXCELLENT!! Great vidja!! Thanks for posting!! :-) Only problem is......logic and reason has nothing to do with firearms restriction/banning laws....it's about control....control and the gubmint is the only one with firearms endgame.....I know you know this.....otherwise the same logic/reason would be applied to other tools/machines, etc......as you have very well covered!! Again...great post!! Thanks!! :-)

  • @HelloTx83 I agree that some in "gubrmint" wish the citizenry were unarmed and controlled. Thanks for your comment!

  • awesome!

  • @4x4boogie Thanks

  • You my friend , should be a spokesperson for the NRA . Great video , well spoken . BTW ... I'll bet you own more firearms than Leno owns automobiles . PBR's to ya Van !

  • @hazman440 LOL I don't think I'm ready for "prime time."

I don't know, but they say Jay Leno owns a lot of cars. Thanks bro!! Have a great weekend!!!

  • This is why we support the NRA.

  • @basketballstar0607 I will never trust or depend on any entity with my freedom.

  • I pity the fool that comes into this home uninvited.

  • @MyHollowpoint Haha Easy there Mr T!!!

  • great video. i'm getting close to being 18 and soon i will be able to take these responsibilitys and get a gun myself. thanks!

  • @Maiden4eva1995 I hope you enjoy your firearm(s) as much as I have enjoyed mine. Thanks

  • i think you make a great argument sir. great video.

  • @thelepperaffinity Thank you!

  • ban all gun laws

  • @thepatriot53 At least most of them!!

  • @thepatriot53 should we ban the ones that say it is illegal to use a firearm to murder, or steal, too? Or how about the Castle Law that says we can use a firearm to protect ourselves? Maybe not all, huh ?

  • everyone need a firearm

  • @thepatriot53 Only if they are willing to accept the responsibility that comes with owning and using a firearm.

  • i said the car thing before i saw the whole video sorry for repeat keep on Brother

  • @psychadaze No problem

  • guns defend there freedom over seas i dont see them going after soldiers or the government

  • Guns dont kill people. People kill people , cars kill people i dont see the same people going after car owners tell them to go stuff it

  • Rock On Guy with the gun vids

  • @psychadaze Thanks
