While there are many significant points brought up in this video, and they are likely accurate, it seems strange that one argument states that there will a greater increase in violence against women( without data although understandable with length of clip), but then the next point is to complain that too much is being spent on security. Seems contradictory, thats all. Well put together though.
@gonemonk - I see your point, and appreciate the thoughtfulness of your comment here - I would say there is ample room for a serious conversation regarding the difference between "security" as defined and supported by governments and actual security of people
I have had police officers whose salaries are paid by my tax dollars and whose stated purpose is to ensure my protection turn their backs on obvious violence being perpetrated against me, and seen the same happen to others
the question of public funds going to pay for "security" is a problem because that money is being taken OUT of the communities, which DO keep people safe, and being spent on a large police presence and increased surveillance, which serve only to maintain the position of the powerful
1:05? Where can i find the full video?

Great video. Although I disagree with number 6. The "police state" is a necessity for the number of people there and the high profile of the event.

Great film. It clearly enumerates the many reasons to oppose the 2010 Olympics. Factual, concise, and well-edited. Great job.
