this is arnis/kali.. i did studied the first degree of this martial arts long way back in the philippines. It is a shame that i didn't had a chance finish it to the highest form the free hands.. matt damon used this martial arts in bourne..
Hello scott,I just got done watching the first ten videos.i have to say thank you for such knowlage.but now I'm having truble watching them after i closed my email account because of my girlfriend. do I need to give you my new e mail to watch them again?
Scott, your single stick skill is crazy! I've watched this and your other clips over and over.
The way you move says to me "fighter" and not "pattern addict". I see aggression, rhythm, control, great skill - and a passion for what you do.
This is such creative martial arts, very well done. Once again, your empty hand rocks! It reminds me of what we call Form Style in Cape Town, there's a similarity to African "flavour" and rhythm in your movement, though I doubt that was your intent.
This video was actually made a few years ago, when I first started to give myself permission to think "outside the box", and not be limited by "pure" Filipino Martial Arts.
It was an early evolution of what we do now. I definitely see the similarities to the "Form Style" you guys do. Me and my guys are eagerly waiting for you to get your next set Piper System videos up!
@HYBRIDCOMBATIVES Yeah, I just watched this again - all that's missing is the popcorn and the loud explosions. These moves belong in a movie! Scott, a year later these moves still rock! ;)
Awesome as always :)
