my eskimo husky is buddy. he doesn't listen a lot, sometimes he does, but in the 7 months we've had him so far, he knows sit an jump, kind of, if you have food can you help me? how did you train koda so well?
I've got a miniature American Eskimo named Mico. I've never owned a smarter animal. Not to mention the personalities these dogs have is amazing! I swear my dog has more personality than half the people I know. I could lay a plate of food on the floor, and he won't touch it unless we tell him it's for him. If you're looking for a smart, cheeky dog, this is the one to go for. :D
I have baby dog like Koda :) He`s name is Barry and he is 3 months old. If you want, add me to your friend list in facebook: Yani Yakov or Skype: yani_yakov
hahaha you cant teach an American Eskimo how to walk.. they already do that when they try to reach for the treats in your hand. I accidentally stumbled upon him doing that when trying to teach him how to sit. Eskies love to jump or stand up lol. Im a proud owner of an eskie puppy named Kenji :)
My Eskie has the attention span of a gnat.. even at 8 she still does. She's very sweet, and is.. Well.. Smart.. Depending on the situation she gets herself into, but we had to take her to a training facility that specializes in police canines. They were very good, and they taught her well. We kept it up, but I'm having a hard time teaching her anything new, because her attention span is so short.
nice tricks my jack russel has learned the some tricks and hes a cute dog and your cute your self lol sorry i just had the through that in there hava a good a one
Amazing dog. My family had an American Eskimo and he looked exactly like yours...They're so close that it brings back memories hahaha...such a great dog...
i was wondering..are american eksimos hard to train? Do they listen? Because i was wanting to get one but im not sure how their personalitys are..friendly? energetic?
American Eskimos are great dogs to work with and train. Koda will do just about anything for his little treats. I really cant take credit for what he can do because he learned his tricks within the 5 minutes of me teaching him something new. Eskies are extremely fast learners. Koda does listen.
At first his attention span was a little short but now that I have established who is Master, he is quite obedient. Although I do get moments that Koda is stubborn doesnt listen intentionally. Eskies are very affectionate, lays on his back with paws up, takes cat naps, but always ready to play and please his Master.
i have also an eskie named jude and i am trying to teach him tricks

Awesome, exactly the kind of dog I want, since they aren't like the sled dogs that need tons of exercise, but they look very similar.

Koda is mini, but almost a standard. He just turned one year on Nov 7th and now weighs about 21 lbs.
Still playful as ever.

Actually he is a puppy in this video. He still has short hair. I'm posting a few more recent videos of him and new tricks. Check Koda out.
