i remember going to see this movie in the theater when it came out. i was about 14 or so. i had read the book prior and LOVED the book. really, the only difference was that instead of novalee fearing 5's, she feared 7's in the book. i loved both the movie and the book and i still do to this day. if you liked this one check out "anywhere but here". such a good film. and also a great book.

XD I read the first two sentences of your comment and was like "Teenage pregnancy, abandonment, and single-parenthood is every kid's dream?" Then I read the rest and it made more sense.

I love this movie. I don't even remember how I came by watching it, but I did and it's now in my top ten favorite movies. It's so heartwarming and sweet. :) And this video captures that perfectly. Awesome job!

I know that it probably sounded odd. =P But this movie genuinely does make you think about your own life and the circumstances you live in. I haven't been pregnant, but I have been abandond and this movie just goes to show that life can be very rough and hard at times, but in the end, all will go well. =]

I think it was either my aunt or her daughter that told me about this movie. I took their advice and went out and bought it on VHS (LoL I feel old). It was the most beautiful movie I had seen to date (I was only about 13 and hadn't seen many movies cept chick flicks, which a lot of 'em are good like Sweet Alabama).
