Thanks, Man. It just took me lots of practice after slowing the music down. You have to realize that Dime did a lot of hammers and pulls, so that's key when playing in his style. I recommend a slow-down program for sure!

Well, it does sound kind of "flangey," but I'm actually not using one. Back then, I was playing straight into my Line6 AxSys 212. I was using an EVH-type preset that I tweaked. But yeah, I know what you're talking about!

I appreciate your input. I was recording late at night, and I was trying not to wake up the whole world, so that's part of it! The other factor was that I was using a practice amp at the time. Check out some of my other Pantera solos (with daylight in the background!) to check out some of my new gear.

Of course, my camcorder is the same with it's half-inch microphone, but it's all good. I'm just an amateur after all!

Yeah, it's supposed to be D standard, where the guitar is tuned down one whole step. But I'm lazy ;-P so I played it in standard tuning (EBGDAE).

Well, I guess the best thing to do is to wipe it down after you play with a dry, soft cloth. To get the gunk off, just use guitar polish, and that should do the trick.
