@Henbot Most of the time, very true - but if you're using a weapon be careful when swinging it back as you might with a stick. If the bladed edge hits your leg as you loop the weapon, it could be very nasty!

actually, i think it would depend on WHO was swinging the stick, if it was betty white, then not the same, if it was a desperate bruce lee, or philipino eskrima or kali expert, hey maybe. think of having a block of wood in your hand and hitting a baseball pitshed at you, now think of the end of the bat hitting it. not the same.

@musicfude83 also in a real fight you cant slide down cause you're not trying to tap the person, you are trying to hit them as hard as you can so the inertia would stop the sliding, and if he did manage to slide, would only tap, or in the case of a bolo, sword, or machete would be stopped by the pommel

actually the free hand palms the hand at the same time while also closing distance and circling your body. Been doing filipino martial arts for 10 years. competed fuill contact stick fighting with and wtihout gear and this works

@musicfude83 when we block, we go towards the stick and in this case out to the tip of the stick then check the hand and after that, we follow with the strike to the ribs and so on

we just develop that skill :P
