While the buffer rate of the Nikon D300s is 25 frames Jpeg and 16 frames raw, the canon 5d mark II has a buffer of only 12 frames in raw. It isn't until you get up into professional camera bodies does canon truely beat out nikon from a FPS perspective. Just as well, the tonal qualities of the images have always been better with Nikon. Each camera has its own ups and downs.

hey, you cannot compare a crop sensor body with a high-res full frame body in raw buffer. if the 5dii were to set in sRAW, then it would do twice the buffer than the crappy d300s low-res crop body.

That's ok. 50D had a bigger buffer. But, the D300S is with one year younger.
D300S had dual card slots, but dual CF slots will be better... (CF cards are faster than the SD.) HD video: If i need fullHD video, i buy a fullHD videocamera, not a photo camera. Whether it be Canon or Nikon... One more thing: Nokia is crap, i worked there. :D
