i have never built a typical dry cell, i have nothing to compare to. i feel it must be more efficient, even some very smart ppl have told me not by that much more. i am fairly happy with the performance of my first cell so i built another.

You do not need a step down transformer. Just rectify the individual hot legs of the n220. Then connect them in paralell. You will have twice the amps.

with the rings seating, your proly getting the same problem I am.

why use a tranny?, give me a call, and I can tell you how to change the 220 into 120v, you only need to move one wire.
