Why does David Barton align himself with the cultist Glenn Beck on speaking tours as though they stand for the same gospel? If Barton is not willing to speak against Mormonism then why should he be trusted with a supposed history of Christianity in the U.S.? Maybe he doesn't know what real Christianity is.
@apologiamixer Barton thinks that if he gathers together many religious groups to his cause then they can't be accused of being one sect that is trying to rule the nation. Get it?
@apologiamixer Barton has been speaking in all sects of Churches to con (scare) them into voting for Christian (''decent'', ''moral'') candidates. He has been doing this for about the last 20-30 years. No one knew who he was until the media decided to hail him as influential. All of a sudden EVERYONE's viewpoint is valid no matter how wackadoodle it is. He totally scews history but that's ok, he's ''influential''. I'll have to research ''Masonic deism''. Thanks.
David Barton is a liar! I just recently watched an excellent documentary, " The Hidden Faith of the Founding Fathers", and discovered that the Founding Fathers were all 33rd degree freemasons. They actually hated the true God of the Bible! You will be shocked to discover what the Founding Fathers actually believed in the own words! Please do a search and learn the truth for yourself.
@JoshFazzz He makes up quotes. It is techically called quote mining. If you take his version of what was said and look up the original document (you can get the originals by typing .gov after the google search) they are totally different. Youtube ''David Barton Lies about Chris Rodda'' for several examples.
@JoshFazzz How is he mis-quoting history? Well for starters, in Marbury v Madison, the SCOTUS did not order Madison and Jefferson to deliver Marbury's commission. And what Jefferson was referring to (twenty years later) with his "gratuitous interference" remark was Marshall's "obiter dessertation" instructed any future court that Marbury might apply to how to rule. Barton couldn't tell you what he had for breakfast without lying about it. He is an illusionist with words. A liar.
@JoshFazzz When Barton makes a statement referring to a particular document, go and read that document to see if it says the same thing that Barton quotes. You have to do your own research to see it.
David Barton is a Christian fundamentalist, political conservative activist which has been paid by the GOP. Everything he says should be viewed through that lens. He has demonstrated a pattern of cherry picking quotes with complete disregard for the greater context.
and you are a fool. you view everything through the lense of whatever ur parents have told u or whatever the leader of the political party you believe. use ur head. use logic and reason...
@joebobfickle Since the constitution has no mention of god, Christianity, Jesus Christ, or religion (except that religion cannot be a test for office), I conclude that Barton is distorting American history as a means to an end - his goal of having America become a government promoted, Christian nation.
@TouchOfGreatness - America was founded on Christian principles. I believe you need to read some of our founding father's documents- other than the Constitution. Further if you compare the founding documents with Ten Commandments and Biblical principles you will see similarities.
This guy needs glasses. I've never seen anyone with such a myopic view of history.

@jfsfrnd Gotcha! Kind of like inviting in the devil to keep the heating bill down. Back to the old many paths of Masonic deism.

I would like to know why this man is a liar? What particularly makes him a liar? How is he mis-quoting history? Simple question.
I'm not asking about his religious beliefs. I'm talking about actual history here.

Thank God for such fellow as this who will tell us the truth. Knowledge scares some people to death and encourages others of us.
