@BEgamedesigner The 3DS sends two slightly different pictures to your eyes: one is for the left eye and the other one is for the right eye. This is called stereoscopic 3D.

With i3D, your eyes receive the same picture and you have to slightly move the iPad and/or your head to see the 3D effect. This is called Head-Coupled Perspective (HCP).

It would be great to combine stereoscopic 3D and the HCP 3D.

This is not real 3d display. It is just perspective. No stereo (L/R) generation. Holding still the display will show no additional 3d effects. Only movement of the display realative to the head will alter the picture. Techniques with glasses will provide 3d effects without adjusting your head. So an object moving straight to you will... move straight to you.

It's ok but requires very good lighting especially on the iPad and the software does no smoothing when interpolating data so it jumps around whenever it can't figure something out. I found String AR to be a much more interesting idea and the dragon demo I got from the String website in particular was incredible.

@sharinganforum what android phone has a higher resolution then iphone? or pixel density? its a pissing contest with android even though tegra 2 may be more powerful then the A4 chip (in the iphone 4) everthing still runs faster on iOS because its got better code (more efficient). However the A5 chip (in ipad 2) is more powerful than tegra 2! be a large margin, and the only thing i can think of thats more powerful is the tegra 3 and the new qualcom chips but they wont be out for a while
