this isn't coq au vin. this is i-dont-know-what. the meat must be marinated in vine, onion, herbs, peper and carots over night. but since you americans have no time for your life, this is the fast-food version.
@MillyVanillification Is any recipe really worth spending half a day cooking, marinating etc..only to spend 15 min eating it??..if so then point me to the "Real" recipe of coq au vin...
@Decbabe85 If you really love food, then yes. Try Alton Brown's recipe though this one is good I think. I simply would prefer the bacon in the garnish.
It's not "coco vann" it's "Cock o vin" That wasn't a good description but if you study french it's easy to pronounce it. Coq means COCK- rooster, not coco lol.

I would just colour the chicken in one pan remove it then do the veg in the same pan - less washing up!! Nice recipe though thanks
