When you fight on ice, you can't plant your feet, and therefore the force of a punch is much less. The punches are still very strong, but it's not the same as if you're boxing in a ring. On the other hand, where else can you see bare-knuckle boxing?

what is punishment for fighting is it 5 mins in sin bin (penalty box) and do they get bans after game or is that it?

@MrBigGuns77...in a word: yes. The penalty for fighting is 5 minutes. That's it. BUT...if a player leaves the bench to fight, or if he uses his stick or does not take off his gloves, he will be kicked out of the game immediately and usually will get a suspension of 1 to 2 games. If you fight 3 times in one game you will also be ejected.
