the whole deal with this movie and the dance, is that it is supposed to be so amazing that you are stunned, and brain washed when you see it.

You never get to see the actual dance because no one would actually be able to perform this legendary dance, and thus it remains a mystery.

IMO, the dance never actually happens in real life. since the dancing represents their therapy sessions. They are probably mesmerized by her story. Remember its a delusion inside of delusion.

@Katicus79 I heard, it is a true story, but alone, isn't much of a thing. The idea, to show the world through someone that is mentally impaired in such a way, was extremely creative. Many people say "you didn't get it thats why you say it sucks". The thing to get isn't a message or anything about the scenario or a detail. It is what the movie shows. It shows the world through the girl's eyes, the world that she thinks there is, and what she feels, during the songs, that are actually sessions.

He blamed her sisters death upon her to show the insane asylum how unstable she is. As for the father killing the mother it doesnt show but assuming that he did since he so eagerly tore apart the will as soon as he was alone. The anger caused by seeing that the girls had everything leads me to believe he may have poisoned their mother.

The whole thing is quite depressing actually, The dad abuses baby doll, the mother who obviously was the last protection for the girls dies and leaves everything in the daughters name and the dad gets his rage on - goes to abuse baby doll again and then decides he wants to have a shot at the younger sister.

Baby doll shoots him trying to protect the younger sister and the second bullet hits the sister by mistake. He then has her admitted to an insane asylum and pays them to lobotomize her.
