It would appear that the panel is an 100amp split bus panel with no main disconect. Recomend check for signs of heating or corrosion,
Whoever wired that panel was not an electrician. Neutrals and grounds under the same bar.
The NMC /NMB (Romex) running through the knock out in the rear will eventually cause a fire since no Romex connector was used and the expansion contraction of the wires will rub against the shap edges 6:28
Is that a sub panel to the right of the main load dist center?
Do it right and safely. Just purchase anI Interlock Kit (google it) on line for $150 and back feed the existing panel. You can just turn off the breakers in your panel and no need to rewire anything. AND MEETS CODE
Just working on a solar pv system with battery banks using an outback 3600w 120v/60hz inverter.. I plan to eventually use a generator at the inverter as it is setup for that. The inverter and battery bank is in my shop. I have the Emergen 6 circuit version of your transfer switch. I plan to connect from the inverter (120v) to the power inlet of the switch (240V). How would I wire the box to work with 120v . Thanks, Rob
I love what you doing here... I have been trying to figure out how I can tie my "small" solar backup system and portable gen together. Great video! Keep them coming, very helpful info!
