  • This piece has been a favorite of mine as long as I remember. Never got it up to your recital-standard though. But you play it very much as I would.

    John

  • good player

  • vwhat guitar do you use?

  • @MrArdelco1970 i have a hirade h-8. it's not very responsive as far as dynamics or timbre, but it resonates nicely. i haven't been happy with the treble sound that i've been getting lately, and i've changed the brand of strings since all of these videos were recorded, and i like the tone i'm getting now a bit better. i hope to upgrade guitars one of these days!

  • @kbaronshaffer thanks for the explication, but the tone is good , i play a yamaga cg171s, it sells in 400 dolars, and i use sonatina equinox titanium strings, and it put in my guitar extreme power .

i think, equinox maybe is better than ddadario , in my guitar...

  • Hi there Keith,

Brilliant playing. I think this tempo is perfect. If it's faster, it turn into a joke! :-)

Very good! Now, I don't want to post it... darn... :-)

    Respect,

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo how very kind of you, per...thank you! and yes, i agree...sometimes the only thing that happens when a piece is played too quickly is that a nice piece is just shorter. i prefer a more moderate tempo.

    best wishes,

    keith

  • @KarlheinzFey1 i truly appreciate that! thank you so much for listening, and for taking the time to comment!

    Svilen

  • @spronev thank you very much, svilen! do you play this as well?

    -keith

  • @kbaronshaffer

No, I haven't yet. Most of what I play is Contemporary and South American. I should at some point add some pieces from the earlier times.

    Svilen

  • @spronev you should look into the suite in d by robert de visee...very nice baroque suite that is very charming...

    keith

  • nicely played. rythmn is a lively and head nodding : )

  • @wooki97 thank you for listening!

  • I have those kind of pieces too!..they NEVER leave you or get too 'old'! They are Classics among Classics..why do the Baroque composers draw some of us so?! Kudos for keeping them ALIVE!! Video your recital..I'd LUUUUV to be there!

  • @pianist660 i wish you could be up here for it too...i think we are planning a trip down there this summer, so hopefully we can hook up somewhere!
