Christians have all but been eradicated in Turkey, now numbering 0.6% of the Turkish population of around 66 million. This means that since the Ottoman encROACHment in the 1500's, when the christians were a majority, their numbers now equate to 1.2 christians to every 200 muslims.

The Turkish government does not allow the building of new churches, which is forcing the remaining christians to either convert to Islam, or leave the country to avoid persecution.
