actaully that's a pretty good question ... but she stepped on midas's hamd. As i remembered the Myth . when you placed an object in midas's hand no matter how big it was it got turned into solid gold.

But she made indirectly contact with the hand throug the led bar she was placing upon it (and then picked up again)... and she was also just indirectly touching the hand with her boots :) So it should have been just her boots that turned into gold ;) If not led protect you against "the midas touch." Where does this lead my dear Watson? ;)

Nah, The boot is in contact with Midas hand, and Lara is in contact with the boot. It becomes one object.

If you overanalyse this even more you could say only the bottom of her boots should turn to gold since it is merely attached to the body of the boot. AND the laces for that matter ;)
