WHERE CAN I BUY IT!! i live in the UK and can't find one available for shipping ANYWHERE! oh, and it must be able to take a fake bullet chain, cuz i ordered one of those with the gun, only to discover the box mag wasn't included. durrr.
Just wondering if you can tell me why they put the switch on the bottom of the drum mag and not on the side or the top or inside? Just doesn't seem terribly practical.
The Live 5.56 drum was smooth green. The Blank 5.56 drum was ribbed black. I would forget my loved-ones names before I forgot how to load, clear, and correct malfunction.
I think the M249, you know the real thing, is a bit cooler. But for small balled people then be all means, the bb gun is cool, I guess, unless you want to kill somebody. Then the real thing is a bit more effective.
Hey I am having trouble with mine I follow the instructions to the letter and the mag never actually clicks in, it just goes almost all of the way and then doesnt click in and i think that is why sound control wont work. if you have any suggestions i would appreciate it
in a sense to the real world gun, it is most definatley not a drum mag, because the M249 is belt fed(mainly) that box just holds the 300-linked 5.56 NATO rounds!
now (and dont say you meant this you ignorant airsofters) this is technically a drum mag, considering that you cant belt feed bb's. lol
so, in the end, yes, it is a drum. but for respect of what this toy is modeled after,( the almighty M249) it should respectively be called a box (or belt box)
yea i just took the whole thing apart and it started working fine, i carried the m249 in afghanistan and that dominated the battle field as well as the airsoft version
@bamarotc75 Thats why we play Airsoft. We dont want to be killed in a War, and we dont want hurting Shoulders because we fired a .50cal Weapon. We just want to have fun. The only thing why we use GUn-Replicas is that they look cool. Some Airsofters train for the Army, and they have fired real furearms
@andromedarr HAHA and the same can prolly be said about you....for one it aint .50 cal, if it was it wouldnt be a SQUAD automatic weapon, it would be vehicle mounted. it is actually the same caliber as an M16 and u can also feed it with M16 magazines.
@bamarotc75 Actually, if it's a 50. it would be considered a heavy machine gun. Purposes may vary, such as mounted on jeeps, tanks, etc. Or Anti Aircraft in the Navy, etc. xD
The M249 uses the 5.56x45mm cartridge, as you said, and it do can fire using M16's magazines, but it would pretty much fuck it up.
LOl, the actual definition of SAW is a weapon capable of full automatic fire, with a higher magazine capacity than standard rifles (Not necessarily belt feeded), to provide covering fire, etc.
i just recieved this gun and i loaded the box with BB's and its not feeding BB's, if i switch it to auto the little wheel is turning but its still not feeding, anyone tell me whats wrong?
The mag part that goes into the magwell can be used to hold down the lever against the tabs so when you slide it into the M249's box mounting rails the mag part also slides into the magwell in one action. Why do it in so many steps?
Learn the mechanics of the thing before you make the video. It's all wrong...
The microphone for the sound activation is not in the box. You can hit the box as much as you want but it won't trigger it. Try blowing on the part that goes inside the magwell right after where the BBs come out, there is a small filtered hole. That's the mic.
BBs travel only through one spring! The other one is used for the wire for the microphone.
is it possible to connect 'box magazines' (drum magazines are normally circular) to a weapon with a M4 receiver, and keep the box stationary (like the little plastic tidbit on the magazine) by purchasing additional parts? i.e ares shrike
hey i have a problem with the drum mag. i followed these instructions and the piece that goes to the mag well is loose and it seems not to fit cuz when i take it out i dont lose a bb help?
i have an a&k m249 para and ive switched out my box mag for m4 clips cause ive constantly been having the box mag jam almost every game and it get annoying when the other team hears u winding for a minute straight knowing that your jammed, also it sucks cause when you run it can fall off easily or it has for me
if this can take m4 and m16 mags dus that meen you could leave the m249 mag on continuous wind and use it in an m4 or m16? and also dus the AA R85 l85 take the same mags as an m16?

You can probably do that but the feed nozzel may not go all the way up into the M4 mag well. But you can get a box mag specificaly designed for an m4 and that'll work. But i still don't advise that. Hey one suggestion with the loading process of the BOX ( not Drum) Magazine.. you might want to open the mag cover only to change the battery because it wears down the snaps on it causing it to fall off easier.. just buy a speed loader or a funnel to load it the proper way
Also, NEVER get any kind of grit or anything other than really clean bbs in there; dirty bbs have been the only things that have ever jammed my para: I hate them...
this may sound rediculous but is there any way i can mount this m203 launcher i got a few days ago on this because im thinkin about getting a saw and i dont wanna put that launcher to waste, rediculous or not it would be an even bigger beast on the field i could use some advice plz msg or reply thx
yea i guess but wen ur user name is airsoft reports i would think u would call it right cuz if ppl wanna buy a box mag and they see this vid they will think it will be called a drum mag.... so if they look to find 1 online they r gonna get round mags wich isnt wut it is
ok so i have just confermed that the port on the bottem can be set up with a on off pressure switch. how i know this??

You can probably do that but the feed nozzel may not go all the way up into the M4 mag well. But you can get a box mag specificaly designed for an m4 and that'll work. But i still don't advise that. It adds a bit of weight, makes the gun less manuverable, and the gear box probably isn't designed for as much continuous fire. As for the L85, thats a clear yes.
