  • @Scylvur It IS a 2JZGTE, If you knew Supra's, you would know that twin turbo Supra's sound completely different than single turbo ones and if you look at 2:12 you can clearly see a 2JZGTE straight 6.

  • @Scylvur Do some research bud, singles and TT's do not sound the same and no my Supra doesnt because its a single turbo, look on my channel and listen to the GS300, it sounds nothing like this because its a single turbo. 1&2JZ's dont look the same because they have different cylinder covers. 1&2JZ's sound almost the same.

    They are called "power adders" but from the looks of it, the only thing in this car that MAKES power is the Turbos! Because the engine by itself is PURE SHIT!!

  • @ESPsandEmgs but the fact a STOCK Supra inline six block and head can make almost 1000hp says a lot. I don't what the car in this vid is packing, but Supras make 1000hp all the time with having to get into the motor. My vortech blown 5.0 motor is a stock block, and known to only be good to only 650hp on a perfect tune, and still give you any kind of longevity.

    Well I do agree that 5.0 blocks are JUNK, thats why I am an LS fan! Aftermarket LS blocks can withstand 3000hp and I have seen stock LS blocks stand up to 1400hp.

    GM Engineers looked at the small block chevy motor and redesigned it and came up with a "clean slate" LS family of motors, the hilarious part is the motor they came up with is SO close to the Ford Windsor small block, that with a custom intake, THE HEADS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE!!

    And as far a windsor being a stolen design, (what a laugh), Ford looked at the Chevy design and IMPROVED IT! Did it RIGHT in other words. GM took notice and used those design improvements on the LS family of motors!

    Second it's obvious you have a VERY limited education when it comes to engines because I can fab up an intake and put a set of heads on any block with the same bore spacing you nitwit!

The fact remains the LS is in fact a copy, and if you want to talk about "bolt for bolt" just look at the head bolt pattern on an LS, does it look familiar?? It should, it's a FORD WINDSOR bolt patter!! LOL

Apparently some Ford guys do this as a "low buck" attempt to have an aluminum head on sb Ford motor. But really not very popular, an after market aluminum head can be had for pretty cheap, for either a ford or chevy sb motor. But I think people are doing this swap to have something unique and show off building/fabricating skills. Google ls1 heads on a ford

    I did, all I found was a little conversation on a Ford forum, and even they admit you are wrong. The bolt pattern is off by over 1/2 inch and the deck height is close, but definitely not a perfect match.

    Like I said, show me articles proving your comments because so far I have not found anything proving you right.

  • The "raspy" sound is not because of the twin exhaust, it's because of the twin turbos. Any AEM twin turbo setup, whether it's custom like this one or anyone on the market (like HKS's) will produce a deep agressive sound. But I agree 2 exhaust is pointless, the rear spoiler is disgusting, the body kit (from what I see on the rear end) is really ugly as well as the rims. But still, amazing car. The Supra is the best!

  • Nice supra. Folks can get as mad as they want, but the thing about american cars is that most of there appeal is in their home country. The fact that imports are ALL over seems to suggest that the japanese build more appealing cars. But at the end of the day i like american cars to, not not nearly as much as the great world tradition of boosting an import

  • I FULLY agree with you mountaintomb. It does take more skill to conquer the road course but 1/4 mile racing is more fun in my opinion. There is more to it besides going in a straight line. I found that out many years ago. The key to me in 1/4 mile racing is RT on that tree.

  • 1/4 racing is cool, but it's purely who utilizes launch and shift control better. Circuit or road racing is much more skill based on properly utilizing the apex as well as acceleration and keeping speed through turns. Road course racing is extremely skill based.

    1/4 mile is just who can go faster and do it more efficiently.
