My 1991 cr500 puts 56 hp STOCK. with the FMF pipe and silencer its about 60 hp. If you cant feel the power on a two stroke then ur riding it wrong. Like Grant said, keep it pinned.

If a stock 450 comes with 52hp lets say, and Stewart's bike supposedly makes only 57hp, so with a full Akra exhaust, full race head and bottom end, race gas, race ignition, full ti bolt kit to drop weight, and his bike only gains 5 hp? Yeah right, thats why they invest 10's of thousands of dollars on little things that give them an edge, you my friend are the true fucking idiot not knowing what your talking about.

My RM250 does about 48HP STOCK. Ive had the motor ported and polished, the cases blueprinted to match the barrel, Full FMF exhaust, bored carb 1mm, Vertex High performance piston, Balanced Crank V Force 3 reeds, ive gained about 4HP, im pulling about 52HP. Ive also had the suspension valved for my weight, coated stauntions, and run race fuel.

Acrapovic states on their website that they can get 51HP out of their bike with the full evoloution system. IT is almost impossible to pull 6HP out of a already stock racemotor.

Yamaha will invest MILLIONS to gain 1/10 of a second at supercross.

It's called Day at the dyno from JGR. This video is the JGR dyno and the new 450 motor, notice before the mechanic covers the computer the hp number is 56hp, the dyno still continues to pull for 10 sec before it cuts off at rev limiter. I'm willing to bet he hits 60+ hp easy with rpm's to spare.

@den2531 well seeing as your asking this question i'm going to go on a limb here and guess your not a big rider, if you grew up riding bikes and started with 2 strokes its definitely better to run a 125, easy and cheap rebuilds just not a bike for everyone to race. but the 250f is 100% more easier to race constant power dont gotta clutch alot for corners, but if you kill a 250f its gunna make your pocket sore

its because the 2 stroke has no engine brake.....so your corner speed is alot faster and thats where all the time is made up. i have a 09 kawi 450 and a 04 rm 250 and my lap times are faster on the 250. but the 4 strokes are so much easier to ride, makes people lazy
