Bumblefoot is good dont get me wrong and he is an outstanding shredder, but devin destroys him at this, and devs vocals are so much wider. Songs i'll recommend are Wrong Side, Numbered, Ki. And thats just a few man

@doubleuarex I would love too do both. But i've had problem after problem with my ibanez sa. For the style i play in... Which is similar too Greg tribbett (Mudvayne/Hellyeah) Mickthompson(Slipknot).

I never knew how loose or tight too have the strings. They are quite a thick heavy gauge. I only have 4 springs in the back. I was playing for months with them really loose. Playing songs like Death blooms. And litterly my fingers and left arm/wrist is f*cked. So i've just thought screw it.

Just like with drumming, there are certain movements that are just incorrect - that lead to serious injury. And if not corrected, this kind of habit forms strong and dies hard. Which essentially means, you are actively hurting yourself.

And you don't have to! In fact, the most important lesson any music student learns is that excessive physical effort = injury and no improvement of playing or style. Every music teacher has yelled the word, "RELAX" thousands of times. Check out Shawn Lane, Mike Romeo, Andy Timmons, most masters, they have extremely loose, relaxed hands. Nobody can deny their tone, technique, expression... don't give up!! There's something you're doing wrong that can be corrected!
