From Australia, but if i walked by a street like this in New York City and heard Thriller playing from a car in the middle of the street with everyone around dancing, I would join in and crack a few moves! :)
-- what sets this apart from "flash mobs" (and makes it better, imo), is that this was spontaneous. People randomly joined in with a celebration that just happened. Watch the other videos related to this one... user "soopastar" (sp?) has five parts posted. It's incredible how it goes from a half empty street to a dance party within 1-2 songs. The true power comes from the fact that this was a truly random outpouring of love that just materialized out of thin air.
@pattisgirls It's not a flashmob. It wasn't preplanned the way flashmobs are. Some guy pulled his car over to the side of the road and turned up his radio and slowly people gathered around to dance. It was actually a lot longer then this. This video is just the tail end of it.
@hop208 well maybe the part where there's actual dancing should be uploaded then. this leads people to think there's a flash mob, when its just people standing around.
so in USA the cops dont let you make flashmobs or tributes for MJ? i was wondering why there are tributes in Stockholm, Liverpool and Toronto and not in USA, please let me know if i am wrong.
MJ biggest fan base is not in US..seriously american ppl prefer to trash MJ. Americans rather concentrate on the negativity of this man than celebrate him. Sad sad sad
@rosanelda24 All of those flashmobs were pre-planned and had permits. This was completely spontaneous and they were blocking traffic. This is just the end. They were actually at it for quite a while before it was broken up.
bloody hell! even we in London were allowed to party in the streets in memory of the legend himself.!! At least you guys tried though and it was awesome while it lasted!!

if this is a flash mob, I'd hate to see what a slumber party looks like. Epic Fail this is no flash mob, sorry

Believed that Americans have the tendency of going wild and then starts to trashing the place, so theres a tight regulation about gatherings

I am wondering the same thing. I can imagine the USA cops, they'd probably go after us.
But I think some part of the country should get a big crowd together and dance ;)

IT's just partly because of the cops.
