I didn't know there was a delayed knife throw super. (third combo shown). How's it done differently from the normal one?

i saw that each super becomes stronger when it is used in red life (2nd life) than in the first life. every super is stronger in the 2nd life. this excludes patchouli since she has different sets of spell card supers in her 2nd life (red life)

Not really, you choose a Spell Card for Each "life" you've got. If you win the 1st match, you will keep the 1st card equiped.If you lose, it will be exchanged for the 2nd one, wich is a powered up version a first, but you can choose for example:

SC- 1-1st round

SC- 2- for the 2nd round- it WIll be a powered up of a SC-1 card, but not necessarily from the one you were equiping, you can for exemple equip a The first spell card and a different for the second, and will still be a Powered up version.

You can also select all three I think..i can't remember if thats in case there is a third round..

Third round: Both characters lost once to each other and will use their second spell cards.

What happens when instead of selecting 2 spell cards, you have all three highlighted? Is it like random select or something?

You can't hilight all three cards. You pick out two spell cards out of six (one choice out of 3 weak ones and one choice out of 3 strong ones). There is an option to hide what spell card you choose which flips all the cards face down (and hides which one you select), but you still are only able to select two cards.

And to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a random select.
