@WFallsToyota how so? people that are too lazy to even keep the damn steering wheel straight shouldnt be driving. this only encourages unattentive drivers. hell, you dont even have to be at the wheel to drive the damn thing on the interstate.
it wud be funny to see it malfunction and the driver fighting for control runs off the road.. or a cliff ;P toyo sux wat idiot cant stay in the lines with a tiny car like that?
I understand what they are saying, but they make it more confusing than it needs to be. I always wondered why companies cannot hire people who can produce good manuals or demostration videos.
because this system was made for people who need to drive long distances for long periods of time. if you ask that then you might as well ask why not just keep you foot on the pedal instead of cruise control.
because there is a huge difference between say watching the road like you should, and just not having your feet on the petals. and if you are driving a long distance usually traffic is quite empty and of you dont see a car then thats not good
well couldnt you also argue that you foot should be left on the pedal then? for safety reasons? thats kind of a side argument, so anyway im thinking they made this to help those dozing drivers that go for the long hauls
its not a automated system, its an assist system which helps make a car safer. The more safety the better I say. The computer controlling this isn't all that complicated either. I am working on a lane assist system that can be fitted to most electric power steering vehicles and the technical package is about the size of a sandwich lol. So far the system is very undervalued for what it actually helps people with in normal road conditions.
The Lane Assist Feature is designed to help relieve the driver's steering on a well-developed stretch of highway. When the vehicle approaches a turn, and the driver turns the steering wheel, the Lane Assist feature is de-activated.
The feature is not a self drive system and it's not suited for curvy roads.
I think that the only option is missing is the "fly option"

Does this system work, when sharp turns are on the road ? Is it will keep you in center of the lane when there are sharp curves on road ?

bjhorton2005 2 years ago
tht seem cool but i wonder if that will help u on the freeway with traffic or prevent accidental lane changes.
Aznbabyboi84 2 years ago
Nope, cuz if traffic suddenly stops, the cruise control can't brake effectively enough to stop the vehicle.
MegaMaster456 2 years ago
cool thx. i was if toyota was going to reply back i guess that will work.
