  • You need to be able to play an orchestral instrument at a professional level to be in this orchestra . except you are required to play any instrument BUT the one you on which you are competent ....

  • Geez, these kids are too old to be playing that badly. Somebody needs to get that music program into shape. Hey, maybe they did it on purpose to back up a request for more money.

  • This is very authentic. I knew Zarathustra and this is how he sounded everytime he got drunk.

  • Oh Lord! This is horrible !!!

  • Ladies and gentlemen! The first and only orchestra consisting entirely of aurally challenged people!

  • goodness gracious!!!!

  • Damn it, the world needs more orchestras like this and the Portsmouth Sinfonia.

  • @fuckalltheemomusic

    Ahahahah, that's true!

  • @fuckalltheemomusic

    Ahahahah, that's true!

  • dear God, Zaratustra died before he could speak

  • Wow! 22,000 views. Thanks everyone! That's me playing the wavering bassoon at the opening. In case anyone is still wondering, we were playing to the best of our abilities, but we were not playing our "usual" instruments - I think I had ten days of experience on the bassoon! The main problem in rehearsals was trying to play through all the laughter. Actually, that was also the main problem at the concert... Thanks to everyone who supported the New Zealand Friendly Orchestra!

  • esto creo que sera para cachondearse y quedarse con las gentes, jajajja

  • tremendo :-)))))))

  • My dog just said this sounds awesome.

  • It´s just a wonder that the church didn´t collapse

  • all i got to say, is WOW, i mean i could play better then these guys, wow, they really really murdered a classic

  • @louie2988

I'm sure it was intentional that they played it that way. I have heard it played this way many other times before.

  • Derp...

  • So, this video is a joke, right?

  • I can't believe how horrible this sounds. I'm almost impressed! Almost.

  • This shit's going on my ipod!

  • MY EARS!!!! MY EARS!!!!! *dies*

  • NZFO? New Zealand Fail Orchestra?

  • @blee072 New Zealand Friendly Orchestra. Everyone swapped instrument, learned how to play in about 2 weeks, did one rehearsal, then a concert. This is the result :D

  • @blee072 and they had to keep a straight face. After all, "Classical Music is Serious Business!"

  • They are trolling, I swer!

  • How to kill a classic!

  • Still better then justin beiber.

  • @DesecratedProduction It's actually spelled "Justine"

  • This is absolutely epic.

  • Oh wow. Did everyone trade instruments beforehand?

  • @90cta395 Yes, actually :D

  • @90cta395

Of course but not the instrument they played for this amazing concert

  • I LOVE IT!

  • Holly shit

  • @movidano yeah, holy shit that was bad.

  • Had bad day and it's just got a lot better. Thank you !!!

  • God Bless the Portsmouth Sinfonia! I wanna be there! lol!

  • Unbelievable. The florence foster jenkins orchestra :o)

  • not as bad as I thought it would be. cool Gothic church, too.

  • The odd part is you guys are actually somewhat better than the Portsmouth Sinfonia XD

  • Wonderful!!!

  • This posting should carry a health warning! ( I am aware it is a very difficult piece of music to perform!) I certainly could not do any better! But this made one elderly man very happy tonight!

  • we may be crap at fooball but pompey sinfonia are legends...!!!

  • Glorious. As people have said: The Portsmouth Sinfonia would be proud.

  • That's the point.

  • Awesome, they are the true disciples of the unforgettable Portsmouth Sinfonia. I hope they release a CD with their most stunning performances.

  • marvellous

  • Absolutely wonderful!

  • Ahahahaha!!! The Portsmouths would be proud.

  • i love this crap!!! they are a little more rehearsed then portsmouth though.

  • Superb!

  • Please load "In the Hall of the Mountain King" if you have it - I was killing myself laughing!

(And so were the front desks of the violas/violins)

  • Ha, that was a special moment - thanks Matthew.

But this clip is all I have unfortunately.

    cheers

    Peter
