Yes he has. You just haven't been paying attention. In Sonic X he says he loves her, In Sonic Chronicles he says he loves her, In Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3) he says that it would be fun to go on a date with her, in Sonic and the Black Knight he is on that date with her, Sonic Team have already stated at least four times now that Sonic is in love with Amy but he's just to shy around teenage girls (What straight teenage boy isn't) to tell her.. SonAmy is canon and it always will be.

Sonic Chronicles is a RPG where you can say anything and the designers put that in for the method of RPG, And when Sonic is on dates he is normally forced or self proclaimed by Amy. Actually no because Sonic X was made by Sonic Team along with Chris, Cosmo, Molly, Danny, Frances, Helen, Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun which makes it the same continuity as the one in the games. Any changes in the Adventure arcs were changed on purpose because Sonic Team wanted to make them better which they did which makes the Sonic X versions the canon versions of the Adventure storylines. @thehalowarthog No Sonic X is canon. They are all canon just not in the same universe. Plus Sonic X and the games are linked continuity. Anything that happened in Sonic X is canon to the games because Sonic Team created the anime and most of it's characters.
And as for all you Sonsally fans, it looks like that couple is gone for Sally not being a real character and never appearing in the games, it would appear she doesn't even exist except in those lame comics that barely anyone reads. Last time I checked, people go for the games more than the non-canon comics.
@pkstarstorm1up Your getting information from the comics. There are no universes, there is only one universe, and that comes fro the games, the first thing that introduced Sonic. There is no Mobius, there is no Sally, there is no multiple Shadows, Sonic is not 16(is 15), Amy is not 13(is 12), Tails is not 10(is 8), it is just Earth not Mobius. There is no way Mobius is the future cuz it runs on a monarchy with castles and shit, while Earth has humans and tech stuff and no castles and FREEDOM.
@thehalowarthog No I'm getting information from Sega. They have stated that each series is canon but just not to the same universe. Sega OFFICIALLY sponsers the comics and endorses them. If it wasn't a continuity they would have stopped production of it and disowned all information from the comics. Don't get me wrong I'm not that big a fan of the comics, but I do realize that they are canon to thier own series.

Now I'm not sure if the original Sonic X accepts being one of many universes but I'm pretty sure that the games universe doesn't accept Archies ideas. Sonic X(anime) was just one of many alternate stories for Sonic. The games though have Sonic LIVING in Earth and being born in Earth(Christmas Island).
You obviously have no idea how a continuity is made do you? If it is officially created. lincesed, or sponsered by then it's continuity. It's only a linked continuity if someone (Sonic Team) creates two of the series (Games/Sonic X) and no Sonic does not live on Earth. He lives on an unnamed planet. It's never been stated to be Earth accept in Sonic Adventure 2 which canonically takes place on Chris's planet aka Earth. If it was Earth Soleanna would be called Venice Italy instead.

@pkstarstorm1up Dude, I look up Sonic the Hedgehog, it doesn't mention any of his friends being Chris, or Sally. Thats only for the Sonic X continuity. Gaia is the name of those 2 creatures, one being the kind little guy and the other being that ****ing ugly creature you fight. Amy reminds Shadow of Maria's innocence. And even if it's not Sonic X, Sonic and Amy still have a hinted relationship, both having a moment together in alot of the games and Japan in favor of them.

Plus Cosmo appears in Sonic Chronicles, and Chris makes a cameo appearence in the JAPANESE version of Sonic Adventure DX therefore that was them showing that Sonic X is the same continuity as the games. plus Cream appears three times in Sonic Adventure DX showing that canoncally she plays a role in the story because she did in Sonic X!

And yes she does it shows that Cream is the one who drops the Ice Key and the other keys for the player to unlock new levels. and yes if Sonic Team went out of thier way to include a character from the anime then that obviously means that that character is canon to the games making Sonic X canon to the games as well.

Yes there is proof your just in denial. Sonic X was created by Sonic Team so therefore those messed up changes as you call them are the canon versions of the Adventure story arc. and yes Chris is canon to the games. and even if Sonic X wasn't the same continuity as the one in the games it would still be canon in a different continuity. You have no right to say something isn't canon because it isn't in the games ESPECIALLY when it was created by the people who make the games.

Oh and the Gaia Manuscripts, the Temples of Gaia, Dark Gaia and Light Gaia being the planet's creators. I think it's pretty obvious that in the Games/Sonic X continuity Gaia is the name of Sonic's planet not Earth.
@pkstarstorm1up Just to let you know, the anime was made by TMS entertainment and it was only partnership of Sonic Team because they were using our favorite mascot. And there is no mention of the term Gaia as the planet and if it was then Sonic X would be non-canon for sure cuz in Sonic X's plot, it is Earth, as they even mention it as Earth and Sonic's world still being Earth(Parallel). The comics are made by Archie not SEGA, it was only sponsered by SEGA.
Try not to get wrapped up in all the Sonamy stuff, remeber the games are not about romance and besides, doesn't Sonic already sort of likes her considering they just started "dating".
I've already commented enough, but the one thing I have left to say is, I don't really like "sonamy" as it just doesn't make sense, doesn't flow and isn't that interested. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow all share one thing in common. They have no interest in romance. Sonic is interested in Adventure. Tails is young and interested in his work. Knuckles is only interested in protecting the Master Emerald and the rest of the world. Shadow is only interested in maintaining the safetly of the planet.

@megabatmanfan Nooooo.............the game Sonic CD came before the show ever aired in public. Amy came to SEGA before Sally, and Sally is an unofficial SEGA character. The Japanes didn't creat her so she isn't in the games or anything. Just the comics, which are barely found anywhere(atleast where I live). So this means that if Sonic ever wants a girlfriend, she's only got one girl to choose. And she isn't really insane in the games as she is in the comics. She's actually kind and unselfish.

@megabatmanfan Sally isn't even an actual Sonic character considering she hasn't been in any of the games(Except for Sonic Pinball which was AMERICAN made, not from Japan). The SATAM series isn't canon with the games. Archie comics made the series, not SEGA of JAPAN, and all the other comics have pretty much nothing to do with the games. And in Sonic X, Sonic says he loves Amy(Japenese Dub) even though this show isn't canon either, it IS the CLOSEST to the games.

In the Japanese version of the games, she's a little squirrel named Ricky, and in English she's a little squirrel named Sally Acorn. The American version was developed into a full character for a cartoon and comic series. She also makes a guest appearance in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (her original form as "Ricky/Sally" appears as a cameo in the show as well)

According to Sonic X, Knuckles is commonly angry and tricked often. Rouge is a jewel theif who (mostly) cares about herself and has a flirtation with Knuckles. Shadow is aggressive and Eggman is a hoot. Amy is also less sweet and more aggressive and bossy.
However, starting wit Sonic Heroes the games have taken major influence from Sonic X. So who knows.
@thehalowarthog But seriously why would you want Sonic and Amy to be together? I watch/play Sonic for the action, speed and adventure. Not for romance. Part of the reason Sonic is so cool is because there's romance in EVERYTHING these days and Sonic refrains from stooping to that cliche. If Sonamy ever happens, all that will more then likely happen is a change in dialogue between the 2 to show that its not a one-sided relationship. No dates, no kissing, just something akin to Sonic Black Knight's ending.

If you're someone who doesn't know who that is, first watch the sonic comic retrospective here on youtube and then try to read all the issues of the Sonic comic published by Archie comics on the channel of SonicComicWorld. Also read the Sonic Universe comics too when you get to them to know the story line.

In Sonic X he says he loves her, In Sonic Chronicles he says he loves her, In Sonic Unleashed (360/PS3) he says that it would be fun to go on a date with her, in Sonic and the Black Knight he is on that date with her, Sonic Team have already stated at least four times now that Sonic is in love with Amy but he's just to shy around teenage girls (What straight teenage boy isn't) to tell her.. SonAmy is canon and it always will be.

Sonic Chronicles is a RPG where you can say anything and the designers put that in for the method of RPG, And when Sonic is on dates he is normally forced or self proclaimed by Amy. Actually no because Sonic X was made by Sonic Team along with Chris, Cosmo, Molly, Danny, Frances, Helen, Decoe, Bocoe, and Bokkun which makes it the same continuity as the one in the games. Any changes in the Adventure arcs were changed on purpose because Sonic Team wanted to make them better which they did which makes the Sonic X versions the canon versions of the Adventure storylines. @pkstarstorm1up Your getting information from the comics. There are no universes, there is only one universe, and that comes fro the games, the first thing that introduced Sonic. There is no Mobius, there is no Sally, there is no multiple Shadows, Sonic is not 16(is 15), Amy is not 13(is 12), Tails is not 10(is 8), it is just Earth not Mobius. There is no way Mobius is the future cuz it runs on a monarchy with castles and shit, while Earth has humans and tech stuff and no castles and FREEDOM.

@thehalowarthog No I'm getting information from Sega. They have stated that each series is canon but just not to the same universe. Sega OFFICIALLY sponsers the comics and endorses them. If it wasn't a continuity they would have stopped production of it and disowned all information from the comics. Don't get me wrong I'm not that big a fan of the comics, but I do realize that they are canon to thier own series.

Now I'm not sure if the original Sonic X accepts being one of many universes but I'm pretty sure that the games universe doesn't accept Archies ideas. Sonic X(anime) was just one of many alternate stories for Sonic. The games though have Sonic LIVING in Earth and being born in Earth(Christmas Island).

You obviously have no idea how a continuity is made do you? If it is officially created. lincesed, or sponsered by then it's continuity. It's only a linked continuity if someone (Sonic Team) creates two of the series (Games/Sonic X) and no Sonic does not live on Earth. He lives on an unnamed planet. It's never been stated to be Earth accept in Sonic Adventure 2 which canonically takes place on Chris's planet aka Earth. If it was Earth Soleanna would be called Venice Italy instead.

Gaia is the name of those 2 creatures, one being the kind little guy and the other being that ****ing ugly creature you fight. Amy reminds Shadow of Maria's innocence. And even if it's not Sonic X, Sonic and Amy still have a hinted relationship, both having a moment together in alot of the games and Japan in favor of them.

Plus Cosmo appears in Sonic Chronicles, and Chris makes a cameo appearence in the JAPANESE version of Sonic Adventure DX therefore that was them showing that Sonic X is the same continuity as the games. plus Cream appears three times in Sonic Adventure DX showing that canoncally she plays a role in the story because she did in Sonic X!

And there is no mention of the term Gaia as the planet and if it was then Sonic X would be non-canon for sure cuz in Sonic X's plot, it is Earth, as they even mention it as Earth and Sonic's world still being Earth(Parallel). The comics are made by Archie not SEGA, it was only sponsered by SEGA.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow all share one thing in common. They have no interest in romance. Sonic is interested in Adventure. Tails is young and interested in his work. Knuckles is only interested in protecting the Master Emerald and the rest of the world. Shadow is only interested in maintaining the safetly of the planet.

Wait. Amy went from risking her live to protect one little birdie for her entire story (Sonic Adventure) to caring more about USING Big to get Sonic's attention than worrying about a frog that might be lost and in danger on somewhere on 1 of 6 freaking planets (Sonic Colors DS).

The Japanes didn't creat her so she isn't in the games or anything. Just the comics, which are barely found anywhere(atleast where I live). So this means that if Sonic ever wants a girlfriend, she's only got one girl to choose. And she isn't really insane in the games as she is in the comics. She's actually kind and unselfish.

@megabatmanfan Sally isn't even an actual Sonic character considering she hasn't been in any of the games(Except for Sonic Pinball which was AMERICAN made, not from Japan). The SATAM series isn't canon with the games. Archie comics made the series, not SEGA of JAPAN, and all the other comics have pretty much nothing to do with the games. And in Sonic X, Sonic says he loves Amy(Japenese Dub) even though this show isn't canon either, it IS the CLOSEST to the games.

In the Japanese version of the games, she's a little squirrel named Ricky, and in English she's a little squirrel named Sally Acorn. The American version was developed into a full character for a cartoon and comic series. She also makes a guest appearance in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (her original form as "Ricky/Sally" appears as a cameo in the show as well)

@thehalowarthog Kind Acorn's statue is seen in the first episode of Sonic Underground revealling the royal Acorn family to exist in the world of Sonic Underground. But the whereabouts of Sally Acorn in Sonic Underground is unknown.
Sally's American developed design also appears in Sonic Spinball.
In Sonic X, her original Ricky/Sally design is seen (Ricky in Japanese and Sally in the American version again, tho it's notable they gave him/her blue eyes this time like Sally from SatAM)

@thehalowarthog Also, Sonic X may be the most based on the games, but it should be noted all personalities are dramatically changed.
According to Sonic X, Knuckles is commonly angry and tricked often. Rouge is a jewel theif who (mostly) cares about herself and has a flirtation with Knuckles. Shadow is aggressive and Eggman is a hoot. Amy is also less sweet and more aggressive and bossy.
However, starting wit Sonic Heroes the games have taken major influence from Sonic X. So who knows.

@thehalowarthog But seriously why would you want Sonic and Amy to be together? I watch/play Sonic for the action, speed and adventure. Not for romance. Part of the reason Sonic is so cool is because there's romance in EVERYTHING these days and Sonic refrains from stooping to that cliche. (I mean seriously, do people think EVERYONE has to like the same thing? The people who are uninterested in the subject are neglected as if they're "lonely" unless they find someone) It'd ruin the flow kinda.

Sega isn't stupid. Making any couple canon and then flooding the series with romance and couple tropes would bring the series right back to where it was when they flooded the series with grim and dark tropes back in 2001-2006. i.e crappy and near death
If Sonamy ever happens, all that will more then likely happen is a change in dialogue between the 2 to show that its not a one-sided relationship. No dates, no kissing, just something akin to Sonic Black Knight's ending.

Like I said, I find Sonic having romance in the games to be unfitting. But I find it even more unfitting now than it used to be, simply because Amy used to be nice and now she's everything almost every character in this series wants to avoid except Cream. She hardly gets along with any character anymore and she mistreats Sonic in every way now. I can't see Sonic liking her now unless it's by force. It doesn't sound very fun. lol

@Whinnie10 Uh they didn't mess anything up. It happened in the anime but since it's a linked canon it happens in the games, you just don't see it happen since it is shown in the anime. and Cosmo is a wonderful character, she is the love of Tails's life.

Why in the freaking heck would they ask if Sonic loves Amy? He loves Princess Sally Acorn! If you're someone who doesn't know who that is, first watch the sonic comic retrospective here on youtube and then try to read all the issues of the Sonic comic published by Archie comics on the channel of SonicComicWorld. Also read the Sonic Universe comics too when you get to them to know the story line.

@megabatmanfan Dude, Sally Acorn isn't even a real character. It's only the comics that barely anyone reads. Sega of America created Sally not japan. And Japan runs Sonic's life and on Sonic Unleashed, he seems to care about how she feels about him and Sonic and the Black Knight they are dating(even though Sonic "forgets"). I know your a Satam fan but that stuff is non-canon(unofficial). The game is the only legit Sonic story.

@thehalowarthog Actually they are all canon except in different continuities aka different universes. The Games and Sonic X are linked continuity while SatAM is a linked continuity with the Archie comics. But yes Sonic is in love with Amy but only in the Games/Sonic X continuity.
