Well, if this gets pushed harder and harder then pharmaceutical will change their strategy: They will try to monoplise cannabis production, control, sales, growing licences and even equipment. But I think legalize movement isn't strong enough to do anything at all to change it for all people. May be for a couple medical users, but that's it. Reason? it is too easy to manipulate public opinion. One-two deaths of some kids and media all over it, demonstrations and polls showing all for prohibition

They barely let me film and then I had to be back a ways, it was crowded, it's not like I had an option to put a mike at the table or right in front of them. I heard marijuana is not bad for you at all? Why would it be illegal if it doesn't hurt anyone and can help sick people? That doesn't make sense to me. It is legal in parts of the country for medicine. So does this mean that certain medicines only work in certain states? I have never heard of anyone dying from it.

I was talking about having the whole war on drugs abolished not just legalizing pot. The major crime revolves around hard drug sales, yes because it is addictive, but also because of the money involved. If you take the profiteering and high value away you will take the motives behind most of these crimes away.

So now these addicts would actually be able to get real and much needed rehab instead of just being locked up in jail. Cops could start to focus on murderers, and violent offenders. Ending this war on an idea concept would go a long way to make our country a better place to live. It is a change for the better.

The small drug dealers would instantly be out of business as they could not profit from nickle and dime sales as they were used to doing, this alone would clean up a lot of the violence between these nobody dealers. Cities would start to see instant results, less overall crime due to these addicts and small dealers..etc.

If you took the profiteering part out of the equation by eliminating the drug prohibition it would stop most drug lords in their tracks as it would devalue drugs to the point it would be pointless to sell them as you will not even make half of what you used to. The prices would drop so much that the addicts would be able to buy their drugs with money from pan handeling, which would stop them from having to rob from people and businesses to get the money for their habit.

If Al Capone was alive today he would of been nothing more than a Liquor store owner. Capones power came from the prohibition because it made it insanely profitable to sell and produce alcohol. Now think about it in terms of drugs, the only reason drugs are so expensive and so profitable is because they are illegal. It is that simple. The war on drugs makes selling and producing drugs insanely profitable, after all that is why the major drug lords do it.

I have explained it time and time again. The easiest way to explain it is a comparison. That is, the war on drugs does for those in control of our government and drugs what prohibition did for Al Capone. A good portion of Al Capone's money came from boot legging (producing alcohol). Since in Al Capones time alcohol was illegal it was a very expensive item just because it was illegal. Prohibition actually made it easier to profit from alcohol sales as it made it so expensive.

It had nothing to do with thinking it was bad/wrong but more to do with the way society frowns upon it. If I didn't have to worry about random urine testing and losing jobs I would still do it. However that being said, I'm against the war on drugs and not because I want to smoke pot without being paranoid. Sometime's I wonder about people. Some people will never understand what this "War on Drugs" is actually doing to our cities.

I think the problem here is with butane hash extraction - the buds look and taste good, but have almost no effect when smoked. Only happens occasionally, but it is disappointing (and dealers don't give refunds).

The ONLY danger with recreational (and medicinal) cannabis use is persecution/prosecution by the authorities. Legalization or personal cultivation would bypass the so-called 'criminal element', but decrim is still a big step forward in this era of prohibition.

Of course I do. I buy hemp clothing because it is better for the environment and generally made in the USA! I use hemp lotions, the best you can get. Why would I want plastic when hemp can be grown by all locally? Non toxic, no pesticides, no petrolium? Not owned by big corporations, real work for individuals! Why not? I use it for medicine as well, eat and vaporize.
