  • Very Cool!

Your improvements & upgrades "including the Roland Digital Synth/Piano" is going to make a profound difference in string, pads & piano.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Hi again,

Wow, that sounds so simple! I can't wait to try it, I am so excited!! I am going out to my studio ( in my garage ) right now to experiment. Thank you Thank you Thank you:)

    You are the best.

( I would have thrown my Sonar in the trash months ago if it wasn't for you!)

PS I am going up to Amery Wisconsin this weekend for a retreat...I will get a little dose of the cold weather you get to enjoy,ha ha:)

    Your friend, Gail

  • Hi Dwight,

Hope you are staying warm up there! I have yet another question for you. I have a yamaha mwc 12 mixer that I am running through my emu audio interface. I can"t seem to find a way to record the tracks seperately. Are you able to do that with your set up?

PS: Cakewalk was of no help with my lack of reverb issue, so I downloaded Sonitus Reverb and it is working beautifully:)

Thanks for your help, Have a wonderful day, God bless,

    Gail in Florida

  • Hi Gail

I have a heater running right beside me to try to keep warm hehe

I record seperately here and its quite simple. I think you've just inspired me to make a new video since I get asked this a lot.

Use the "AUX SEND" FROM your mixer INTO your Emu. (likely left channel only - thats fine)

Now turn up the "AUX send" on the individual strip you want to record. You might have a mic in strip one - a guitar in two etc . . . be sure all other aux sends are turned down or off.

    good luck

  • Hi there,

I love your studio! I am trying to figure out what kind of a mixer I need to go with my Sonar 6 . I like the Behringer you have, but how do you use it with no USB or Firewire? I am just learning about all this stuff, so I apologize if that is a dumb question!

Thank you for your tutorials, I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have without them.

    Gail L. from Florida :)

  • Hi Gail - thank you

I have an M-Audio Delta 1010 instead of a sound card. This is a PCI card in my computer and has 8 audio ins and outs - I hook those directly to my Behringer board :)

    good luck

  • Thank you for clarifying that! I will look into getting one of those, I would like to set my studio up like yours, it sounds so good!

Thank you also for such a speedy reply:)

    Gail

  • I heard drums on that, do you have studio drums?

  • Hi - The drums you hear on this song are a drum loop from an assortment of brush grooves called "Big Fish Audio - Brush Artistry". We than added some fills using "Artist Drums".

  • Hi Dwight,

    Thanks for the tour

I hope one day I get to record a song in your studio

Standin ovation for Dale's Witching Woman

  • Sweet set up! glad to see it. Just goes to show what you can do with the will! I had soundproofed a closet with that foampadding for guitar practice...it didn;t last long but worked well for muting sound!

  • Woah, that's a lot of great kit! Fantastic setup! I agree too that it has a great amount of potential. It looks like a serious amount of fun.

Oh, and great song to go with it, Dwight! I love that kinda music.

  • Dwight: I just dig everything you do ... thank you for sharing the "music crib" ... a great room ... you really get some great sounds there ...

    Don ...

  • Loved seeing your digs and your gear, Dwight. Thanks for the tour!

  • The best part about your studio is that you know how to use it to it's potental...

Looks great ....and sounds great :o)

  • hey, now i don't have to go all the way out there to see it.....haha

  • dude...i like your studio...
