I'm bored right now. so I feel like ranting. Is that ok? By the way, I'm the same person :) That meaning, "rangedkid" is just my other account lol. It is of course common sense to not smoke, if you don't have to, in front of a child. But if you are walking down the street, it's pretty unavoidable, and if you're addicted to cigarettes and have kids, you are going to get noticed sooner than later. Just educate them about the harm and addiction, that's the most you can do I say.
@IamLav In that sense, it makes sense (don't know how else to phrase that, haha) because I know I pass by kids and I'm smoking and there's not too much I can do about that. I just meant I see parents smoking directly in front of their children. Whether they're in a stroller, or holding their hand as they cross the street. I mean, I understand it's an addiction but I don't think it's something you should openly do in front of your child.
Ok so something just totally tripped out, and if you could remove that ridiculous repetition of comments, maybe that wouldn't look so ridiculous LOL. Anyways, I pretty much agree with everything you're saying anyway, but even as a "non-smoker" (if I can even call myself that) I wouldn't be able to make a PSA like this.
@IamLav Thank-you, it could've been much better seeing as it was quickly done and I used Windows Movie Maker (absolute shit) but I'm moderately pleased with it.
@arockstarrr Yes but I was raised in an environment where every (almost) elderly person I knew smoked :P
I was still aware of the potential harm, and I personally don't smoke regularly but I will not deny a smoke when offered by a friend/colleague. My point is that smoking is done in public whether you like it or not, so children are going to be exposed to it regardless. You don't see people having sex publicly lol
I smoke once in a while. But I'm not a smoker. I don't think we should take our own luxuries away because of things like "children see, children do." I think it's better to educate them about things that are bad and good, right and wrong, and moderation. I smoke casually with friends, but I've only bought 3 packs of cigarettes in my entire life. It doesn't hurt if you don't make it regular and become addicted.
Then again, if you're a person who can't handle moderation, don't bother at all.
@rangedkid I've been smoking for four years, I made this video not because I'm against smoking but because it was an assignment for a multimedia class. By saying we shouldn't quit "luxuries" even if they are an example to children, is wrong. So would you have sex in front of your child then later on in life teach them about how it's right to do it when you're married and wrong to do it out of wedlock? No, it's common sense, you don't smoke in front of a child to "educate" them.

Oh and, I'm the biggest Lights fan of life. Just so you know, but nothing before Oasis, of course :D.
P.S. Unlike most people, I actually find a chick that's not afraid to smoke a turn on, so a + there lol.
