hmm, im from sweden and a friend of mine got like the three first videos containing some of the episodes from the macross saga, and we loved robotech.. but its is very difficult(like it were then) to find any material with robotech :/ hehe i dont like manga but robotech i love:P
In fact, it's unecessary to add those credits. The localization stuff you saw was to tell you who made this MTV. We should thank them for their hard work and making more and more Chinese know about the famous animation. It took me 12 days to finish the video. I hope all of you will like it.
Hello, I am the creator of this video. I am sorry I didn't add any credits of Macross or Robotech. As a member of Rtucn, I was told to make a promo video of Robotech to demostrate so that many Chinese fans could know about the series of Robotech. The length of the whole video is about 12 minutes. The format is MPEG2. It includes all series of Robotech. I made it like a MTV.
Too bad that the credits don't mention Haruhiko Mikimoto, Shôji Kawamori, Noboru Ishiguro, Kazutaka Miyatake, Yoshitaka Amano and the other real creators. Only the localization stuff gets credited.
What's wrong with wanting the real creators getting credited instead of bunch nobodies? Carl Macek and the others are less well known than for instance Shoji Kawamori (Macross and its sequels, Escawlowne etc) and Yoshitaka Amano (Mospeada, Final Fantasy series, Gatchaman, Dreamhunters which is written by Neil Gaiman etc).
@heishirosama that I think Carl's biggest mistake is that did not credit the creators of the source material that he used. I do not know if HG fix that problem in remaster version.
It was a 80s top hit import shows in those day China, one of the three most perfect dub anime series (The other two are Transformers and Zodiac Knights)
You kidding? Robotech was HUGE in China back in the time when I was going to middle school. I can't say how much I was emotionally moved and inspired by the show all the way throughout the growing-up. In Chinese it is called Tai Kong Bao Lei that means Super Space Fortress.
Robotech fans are universal; spanning all parts of little blue orb. Good job man.
