Actually your logic for Resident Evil backfires on you. The fact that Chris has all the disadvantages with the exception of being able to take more damage makes him a tough SOB, this point is even elaborated in later games (He boxes a freakin boulder in RE5!). Anybody can survive the mansion as Jill, but it takes a real mans man to do it as Chris!

Regarding FFX-2, I think the story sucked, but the battle system (sans the transformation sequences...not the transformation concept) was really well done. Not enough to ignore the story, but I can't deny it being one of the best uses of ATB.
