  • Where can I get a few of these? I'd like to get some as training weapons.

  • @OntDinRS

This is our own manufacturing line , private message me and we'll work it out.

  • Golly, I'd hate to get in a machete fight.

  • how much weight in this device? Looks like it is very light

  • @Schildschmied

    0.5 kilo. Heavy enough? :)

  • what did you use to make the fighting machetes

  • @MUCTup

Our own line of weapon simulators. Knives, machete , staff , longer blades.

  • @1onlychildaznxhero

    Much appreciated, thanks!

  • wow good fighters

  • @ACTdirector Can you guys post a video about how you make your training machete's?

  • @D3mang3l

So sorry I really couldn't , I really am just ordering them from the guy. But we are developing (with the guy:)) a mass manufactured model , and will soon release it. The knives are already in the pipeline.

  • very good video, thank you, look forward to more!

  • @hoodrat61

Thanks so much! More are coming indeed :).

  • These guys look quite skillful. Nice work

  • @savingface78

Thank , we do try :). Much appreciated.

  • @ACTdirector awesome vid is there any chance yous can do a demostration using gurka khukuris

  • @supersaiyanMK2

Thanks, much appreciated! Regarding the Gurkha Kukri though there is a problem. The attitude is different. It is not a fencing all range fighting weapon. It is a vicious chopper for close in work. You get into a trench or a tight spot , you rush your opponents and you mince them up. The defending capabilities are somewhat diminished. So to spar with it is almost impossible. Awesome weapon though, we love it.

  • @ACTdirector thank you for taking the time to reply great yids by the way i have been seen alot of pratical moves on your many demostrations keep up the great work

  • @supersaiyanMK2

Thanks so much! Will do:). More to come, that s a promise.

  • really good demonstration and instructional

  • @daltonsbadboy

    Thank you , much appreciated!

  • Check out tuerkefechi channel. We studied under the same teacher. He has hundreds of bouts against other styles, mostly through Dog Brothers. Your Katana fighting video is very nice. I'm looking forward to the multiple opponent video. You have a nice variety of weapons, and a good mesh of different styles using similar principles.

  • @javeyboy

Thanks man , much appreciated. We believe that fighting with different weapons and using all ranges are very important to be a well rounded weapon fighter and a fighter in general. And cross training with other systems is a MUST. Thanks again:)

  • The only other thing I like to do is immediately guard the head and retreat after making a leg attack. @ 1:30 of your video it would have come in handy, because a cut to the leg might not stop the fight right away. Although your guy did a good job of moving out after striking.

  • @javeyboy

Indeed he has. Moving out of range after a leg strike is of utmost importance. This video also shows that if that has not been achieved THEN we apply the parry while getting away. And the differences in styles and exercises, well, let;s not forget ,man, this is a machete. Not a cutlass. While similarities are obvious a lot is different. Different parrying capabilities, different inertia and so on. Hence some differences in applications always will be there.

  • @ACTdirector

The biggest difference I've found in practice is having a complex hilt vs not having one. Bolo & machete fighting have the same principles as 18th c. fencing in many ways in linear, triangular & circular stepping. Having a complex hilt means you can parry close to the hand with the forte, and can take more protective guards. Using the same guards with a machete would get your hand chopped off, The reason why you use withdrawn guard positions or the machete hand in constant motion

  • You should add the Royal Naval Cutlass Exercise of 1812 to your curriculum. It uses the concept of "strike & fly out" and the footwork ephasises simultaneously avoiding attacks to the leg, moving out of distance and countering to the head or arm. It basically eliminates the leg as a target, and gives you better control of distance and timing even against someone much faster than you.

  • @javeyboy

Good one, mate. Now , please, and I mean it, go to the Russian seminar video :

    youtube.com/watch?v=zCH_BVV3Z0w

At seconds 0.35 - 0.45 you will see the exact 3 counters that you are talking about. One of them performed live in sparring full speed to the head of an attacker. It is exactly the material we are teaching and I thank you for pointing that out. Countering on the first beat has a big place in our system. Enjoy and thanks for your input!

    Peace!

  • @ACTdirector

Ha! Beautiful! Saw the video and that's exactly what I was talking about. Very nice! The only real difference between that and the Cutlass exercise I was talking about is that the foot shifts back with every parry, even against hight attacks, so that the leg is always guarded.

  • @javeyboy Thanks , so glad you found out what I was talking about. Those counters are at the very heart of the system , of course the timing needs to be impeccable, but hey , that is why we do the drills , until the body performs automatically. Best way to showcase - sparring matches the doctrine. That is how we know what works , eh? :)

  • did jason voorhees took machete classes?

  • @viperish5

No , man. He applied and we said no way we are letting him use that face protector:))).

  • Great vid

  • @whyisthisnottyping

    Thanks so much. Much appreciated.

  • you guys are nailing eachother with those things god damb!!!

  • @SmileComic If you wanna learn how to fight , better do just that, neh? :). Hard strikes? Sure. Lesson learned ? You bet ya:).

  • @ACTdirector props on the cool vid you guys know what your doing when it comes to machetes.

  • @SmileComic

    Thanks,man, we do try.

  • @ACTdirector I've had to use a machete in the past since I didn't want to shoot and kill the man. (some drug addled bastard that raped my cousin). I've taken Japanese sword fighting, however I prefer the machete instead. Normally I'll wear brass knuckles on my right hand and sword fight with the left but I've trained myself to interchange if necessary. Thank you for an excellent demonstration video!

  • @kalimaganeshshivan

Thank YOU, for your kind words and much appreciated indeed. We too believe that fighting with different types of weapons is an absolute must and are practicing long weaponry as well as short and blade as well as impact. Much respect to you and your craft.

  • nice video.

  • @tallswede80

    Thanks , much appreciated!

  • wow great moves

  • @wowthereisnonameleft

    Thanks! Much appreciated.

  • would a katana beat a machete? and also what is the best self defense weapon if the only weapons that ever existed were melee?

  • אוקיי חברה, סרטון נהדר רק, איפה אתם מתאמנים ואיך השגתם מצ'טה של cold steel? מאד אודה לכם עם תשיבו.

  • damn thats cool. i wanna try that sometime

  • @punnkypo

Thanks ma. Appreciate it. You are more than welcome to try it with us.

    Train safe!

  • VERY awesome video! I am a long time student of the Katana and as I have matured, I have learned the value of the Machete in the modern world of self defense. IT's a lot easier to walk down the street or in the wilderness with a "tool" AKA a machete than a recognizable sword. And the machete can be used easily as a short sword. I have modded my own ontario machete to have a bowie thrusting point to ad another dimension of lethality. Please keep making videos!

  • @D3mang3l

Thank you kindly, we do try:). More vids on the way!

  • Cool ! From where you found training machete or you made yourself alone?

  • @davigo

Thanks! We have an inhouse engineer that does the job. Knives, machetes, any blade really...Thanks again:)

  • @ACTdirector What material is used?

  • @davigo

Sorry buddy, I am no specialist...Something...I only order them from the guy and he helps me out as he is also a student. I am giving the specifications i.e. correct weight, balance, shape , size, form. They feel like real weapons only don;t cut you in half:))). But I wouldn't presume to know how they are made, so sorry. We are going to make them available for the general public soon, so when that happens feel free to tell ME how they are made:)))! Train safe!!!

  • what is the best self defense machete? Would like to buy the magnum kurki cs or latin?

  • Another good vid. I will be getting the cold steel latin machete soon, and should be getting some sparing vids up when I can get some training machetes like youve got.

  • @MrJmak223

Thanks man. It will be nice to see your sparring clips and the training bolo simulators, yeah they sure do help, no doubt about it. Train safe!

  • Nice!

Could you please tell what are there machetes made of?

    And how?

  • @KLNBKiev

So sorry , but I really couldn't. See I only use them:). I have them made for me by an in house engineer who is REALLY good but I ask no questions:). I can tell you that we are at final stages of launching mass produced model of knives (from the other videos) and these machetes and the smaller knives (the street version). I will be sure to let you know, trust me on this one. Thanks for the kind words! Peace.

  • Very nice work!

  • @talon115

Thanks so much! More to come...

  • Wow! Even with the light weapons I have seen guys broken up. We use rolled up newspaper which is then taped all the lrngth of the rolled paper. Weight is controlled by th amount of rolled newspaper. You can then really get busy with minimal damage although with a heavier weight it hurts! I love this! Would love to watch it in person. My respect! Master Ron Saturno

  • @rsaturnoserrada

Thank you kindly for the praise and no doubt some day we'll be able to share the experience in a personal encounter. Where there is the will - there is a way, right? Thanks again , we are honored.

  • your cutless work and research is very good.

I would have loved to be in the park watching you guys

I also think you guys should dress up as pirates when you do your machete/cutless work

I would imagine that is what pirates on the deck of a ship fought like

  • @NewZealfighter Well it is machete fight not cutlass although the similarities are evident. Watching in the park is great, but participating is even better I assure you! :) Dressing up we'll leave for those who love dressing up (theatrics). Me? I am into fighting. The pirate thing? Well judging by the pirates today, they are more into firepower if you know what I mean. Back in the days? They were considered best hand to hand for their resolve and ferociousness so I'll take it as a compliment.

  • Great video Alex!i like it!

please tell me where i can find these training machetes?

    thank you

    Gat carribean moderator

    Fabrizio FIlograna

  • @fabrialine Thank you kindly! These training machetes (or their bolo version) we produce ourselves in the A.C.T. school. Since you are US based I'd be happy to show them and others (knife, Jo,kukri and so on) when we visit there next time.

Pleasure to make your acquaintance! Saludos and mabuhay!

  • @ACTdirector do you sell it? i need a couple of machete or bolo?

if yes wrtite me the price by email please

    gat carribean moderator

    Fabrizio

  • It's always a pleasure to watch you guys in action! World class all the way!

  • nice!

  • Great work folks. This shows a parry with a guardless weapon can be done - but should be done only as a last resort. As said above - DON'T BE THERE - void in time.

  • Great video and use of attacks by drawing. Try using some of the male and female triangle footwork from FMA to help run your attacks as well as when you need to counter and re-counter.

This footwork will also help a lot when having to deal with Single Direct and Single Angular Attacks. The male triangle is definitely a favorite of mine for setting up and running blitz attacks. Thanks for the posting!!

  • Once again, good explanations and a cool clip. I really liked the motto: MOVE FAST, DON'T BE THERE :)

    Thank you and great job!

  • Nice. Thanks!

  • Good tactics, realistic. Very good gents.

  • Top notch work guys !

  • awsome clip, great energetic work done by all with full speed and intent.

would have loved to take part.

  • Another great video!!!

This is what machete/BOLO fighting is all about!
