  • am sorry these planes are but ass ugly slow and they look like fucking ufo's am sorry the hornet is a much better looking airplane.

  • They did this for a couple of days leading up to fleet week that year.

I was on the bay bridge when the buzzed it , one plane upside down on top of the other.

Working in down town S.F. was like being in a war.

  • i think JAck Bauer Blew up the Soviet council in CA, during an episode of 24, so they wont be complaining again

  • Right, so A-4F just used air to spool up there engines from the airtanks.

  • The F/18's (A modle) sound pretty good to. I like how they sound when starting up.

I don't think the A-4 had a APU or JFS. I think they used airtanks to spool up the engine.

  • I think the APUs didnt get into the A4s until the A4Ms. The Blues at that time were using A4Fs. I actually met LCDR Mike Gershon about a bit before he was killed in 1985. A few of my friends form the local A4 squadron also knew him. A very sad loss.

  • If you watch the Miltary Channel theres a program called "Great Planes" I recomend it.

  • HAHA only the russians would complain, a love that, pitty my countrys display team cant make that much noise (red arrows) most we get is "was that a plane or a mouse??"

  • Yeah, but think of the mileage! You shoulda heard the Angels when they flew F-4's!

  • Hey I saw the Red Arrows last year. Your guys are awesome. Sure the Hawks dont have the speed or power of the F18s or F16s, but they did their demo in a smoke screen from forest fires in Langley AFB. Not to mention that they are constantly turning and looping. I dont think I saw them wings level for more than 5 seconds!

  • LOL!!!

    "They're just like jet planes!"

  • Been waitin' years for someone to get that!

  • Dude thaks for posting. I've never found footage of the A-4's in SF.

  • Not 88, the Blues had F/A-18 Hornets by then, these are Skyhawks, that they got rid of in 86,
