Thumbs up for the lovely gentleman or lady who bought a bunch of flowers and bouquets so she could throw them lovingly to the actors and actresses at the end of the show. :)
At least there releasing a DVD of the austrailian show for the fans of it. My opinion is neutral I neither love nor hate it. I'm not a big fan ALW's phantom. It's beautiful yes, but there better versions out there. And I think he should have based the sequel on something other than Phantom of Manhatten. Look up what the Phantom Reviewer has to say on the book Love Never Dies was based off of I must say I agree whole heartily
I've been in theatre since 2006 and yes, typically that type of bow is done by girls/women. I suppose if you wanted to and if you're a guy you could do that type of bow.
And I hated how I don't have a passport and couldn't see this and now I have to see it on DVD :/
I was there!!!! It was amazing!!!! I think the REALLY high screaming that goes on for most of the time was me!! :) I was really upset that it closed :'( I still am :'(
And the melbourne one won't be anything like the uk one, which is the best one by far. What's up with midget fleck? And if ramin isn't the phantom, I don't care!
I'm having a little cry. Saw it a month before it closed for the second time, was lucky enough to see Ramin. The guy is amazing. Si sad that I will never be able to see it again.
At this time Love Never Dies is NOT coming to America :'( nor does it look like it's coming to Toronto. But of course I'll still look at Playbill.com for updated information regarding LND :)
The good news is that they are making a DVD recording of the Australian production. I think it's being filmed during a performance this month. Not exactly like getting to see the show live, but it's better than nothing for us who never got to see it. :)
I think Andrew should have a break from it to go back in with fresh eyes and then build on the Australian Version maybe add a new song tweak the structure and then hit Broadway with it.
Enough people have seen it or got the CD now its got quite a big following .It will counteract the Love Should Die group with their fake negative reviews.
I do think their negative campaign and the West End Whingers Paint Never Dries review killed it.
NO! It's so sad! I really liked this musical. It had awesome music! But it will always be remember as one of the great adaptations of our beloved Phantom!
My love to this musical will never die, no matter what! Thank you ALW, Ramin, Sierra, Celia, David, Joseph, Liz, Haley and EVERYONE who made this musical what it was. I'll miss it so much! *crying eyes out*
I wish I could've seen Sierra play Christine before her run was up.... because she was the 1st to bring life to the character for me in Vegas. What a wonderful talent and this show looks beautiful. <3
I hate that I never got to see it live. Still, because of listening to the soundtrack many many times and watching all the behind the scenes videos, I'm still going to miss it!
I would've loved to see Love Never Dies. I didn't even know it was closing! I went out and got the CD the day it came out, and even though I never got the chance to see it, the show sounded beautiful. :)
WHAOOO I LUV YOU GUYS IN LOVE NEVER DIES I ALMOST WANTED TO CRY!!!!!!! I LOVE THE SINGING, THE WAY YOU KNEW HOW THE PHANTOM WOULD WIN AND EVERYTHING!!! i wish i was there on the last night :(
Aww this brought tears to my eyes! The show must have been amazing from that seat! I am SOOO sad the show has closed! I wish it would come to the U.S! Its so sad that I and many others will never get to see this INCREDIBLE production :( :( :(
It was on my "must see" list. So when I heard it was closing, hopped on a plane to cross an ocean, picked-up my daughter and drove from mainland Europe to the Adelphi to watch the final performance. It was so much more than I could ever have expected, been at many shows on Broadway, National Theatre Washington and West End but this Aug.27th was ... wowww ... the best I've ever seen.
Love truly Never Dies, the show must come back. I need to see it again ... sadly without Ramin Karimloo.
I went to see this on the 20th of August and I aboustly love it I cryed buckets at it the whole show was very moving cant belive it has ended I would love to see it again well worth the money please come back Phantom :' ( and just one more thing to say LOVE NEVER DIES : )
Saw the original version of this musical (meaning before the edits/changes) 3 days after it first opened in London...... It was my first time seeing anything on the west end and it was possibly one of the best nights of my life... What an AMAZING Musical....!! wish I could of had the oportunity to see it again before it closed though..!! =[ =[
Such a wonderful show and a very emotional night. I feel blessed to have been there that night and to have seen the show a few times along it's journey. A truly wonderful production and an astounding cast. It's really sad to see it go but I must say thanks to all of the people involved in making the Love Never Dies experience so amazing and memorable xx
It was truly an amazing show that had it not been for the fact it was a sequel to Phantom of The Opera would have been appreciated by the majority of musical theatre fans I'm sure. (I am not included in the group of people who don't like the fact that Phantom got a sequel by the way) Since it announced its closure it rapidly gained more fans and support so I am sure in the future it will re-emerge bigger and better. Love will never die. <3
Thank you so much for posting! I got goosbumps as I watched and now have a huge lump in my throat and am holding back the tears! It must have been so emotional for all involved - what a night!
why did i watch this. im crying now!! this was the best west end show i have ever seen :') its amazing, i didnt love how they changed it, i prefured it the first time round. but im glad i got to see one of the few last preformaces
@hobbily I heard rumours that this (the London) production was a financial failure... that and the bad reviews the critics gave it didn't quite help either..
Amazing show, brilliant cast! Ramin throwing his face and David's reaction to Bill Kenright's mention was pretty funny (he's not been too happy with Everton recently haha) but I am gutted it's closed, bring back LND !!
Thumbs up for the lovely gentleman or lady who bought a bunch of flowers and bouquets so she could throw them lovingly to the actors and actresses at the end of the show. :)
