I have only a small (50'x8') patch of golden flax. This is the first video that addresses the harvesting in a way that makes it clear that the flax must be dried, seeds removed, and only then retted. Thanks!
Linen products are easy to store, they can withstand temperature differentials and the toughest washings, which make them even softer, whiter, and more clinging to the body.
Linen absorbs and returns water easily, and it dries fast. Static electricity charges are not formed in the linen. All these properties make linen healthy, and linen products (bed sheets, clothes, towels, curtains and table cloths etc.) are easy to use.
Marvellous material - I had a flax tarpaulin at least that was what I was told it was left in UK by the yanks after they left in 1945 I imagine. I was still using it in 1990 to cover my boat which remained as dry as a bone.
