first of all, this is from before 1997, second of all, I think he's just learning the vocal part there. If you notice the sheet of paper on his piano. His voice has matured alot since then. Some of his solo stuff is better that this, PLUS about 1/8th of his performances sound out of tune and parts of this one are. Ben Fold's parents had nothing to do with the music industry. Also not shown is the fact that he can play every instrument that is in his songs.
