hey valentine, since posting the comment i've gotten the chance to listen to HI HOW ARE YOU? from start to finish and frankly it spun my head around.the emotional honesty of the lyrics are almost unbearable.its like nothing else i've encountered with the possible exception of bukowski the poet.forget the metaphors,say what you mean as direct as possible.so you got me there,but,as for his art,to evoke the name van gogh is a huge strech.reworking comicbook characters is old hat

Ive not cried in over almost 20 years but this song can get someone choked up. It reminds me people use to know me as an artist now not so much. And that art does make you happy even if you seem alone.

heart wrenching song,while I consider his work of interest and his story compelling last I looked there were still plenty of very creative people out there many of whom share thin frail psyches seems genius comes cheap these days

I don't think genius comes cheap. I think as an artist he is relevant because he continues to produce and stuff people can relate to. He is an example of a modern day Van Gogh and although many are like this not many are out there and trying to put themselves out there. He has and continues to. I like him. He is a genius.
