  • great!

  • *sigh* the 50s..my fav Era..mostly because of their swinging melodies and fashion. If someone ask me who is the style icon for the 50s..I would say Grace Kelly. Her 50s style never changed even when time passed. She kept the 50s fashion alive. *now let's Swing!!!*

The 50s is my personal fave era.

  • i am only 24 and have always said if i could travel back in time it would be the 1950's, for some reason it feels right to me like i have lived it b4

  • Duck and Cover! Duck and Cover! Ha! Ha! Great video.

  • WOW....Thank you so much....will check your other ones....

  • Thanks Mandy. Enjoy:)

  • You are welcome...I am enjoying them...

  • I will. The 20th Century series covers the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, (already made) and 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, until 1999 (which I will be making sometime soon). At least I will try!

  • That music is the original soundtrack of the Hitchcock movie "Vertigo" from 1958.

  • Thanks for watching!

  • Excellent video. Looking forward to your 60s vid.

  • Thanks Virgi.

  • me too...or even a 1910s, I can't get enough of this stuff

  • I totally agree with you....J... Clothes and music were absolutely fantastic in the 1960's. I will truly enjoy doing the 60's.

  • Again this video is an impressive, condensed survey of historical and artistic facts; thanks to your extensive research and sophisticated presentation you managed to reach top level. Footage and musical background are outstanding and used with truly professional skill and refinement. Thank you for this new instalment of your awesome documentary series!

  • Thanks to YOU for saying all those kind words:) I often watch your musicals and I truly enjoy them. I am happy to know that you liked this video! Next.. 1960's...

  • Oh, Your comments make me feel so good J!... I have tried my best but I know I can do better. There are a couple of scenes that I wasn't too happy about but this is the way that YouTube rendered them. Actually, I think this video is fun to watch but your videos have much better editing techniques (and they are also fun to watch!)

  • Jurek, thanks so much for your comment. I am very happy to know that you liked the video. I definitely wanted to include the Hungarian revolution of 1956 in this video. My mother used to work as a Jewellery designer during the 1950's and one of her work colleagues emigrated from Hungary to Argentina in 1956. In fact, my mother often told me how her friend used to praise Polish people.

  • Long awaited. Thanks for history, facts, images, music composed in one GREAT unity. Thanks for final touch on every field and stage of this composition. I was deeply mooved by a "Hungarian accent" at the end; Poland took important role in that "incident" gaining true and warm feelings from people from Budapest which has been a solid base of our friendship. Thanks for 'Star Dust' and 'Rock'n Roll', too.
