  • @Mywayslo dimwitted slovenazi...

  • I was driving a service car on the '72 RAC. I still have my number sticker - S143. The competition car was a Moskvitch! The drivers had it easy, though - we service chaps had to stay up on the one rest night, fixing the rally car.

  • I would be interested to find out wether that was the escort my dads driver bought from Ford in the mid seventies My dad was the co driver for David Granger. He payed £10,000 for the car and rallied it for a few years with my dad as co driver. It was an awesome car and compared to the previous escort it was very light and fast, it was that quick it could compete with the mark 2 in the lombard RAC, in the late seventies..

  • Roger Clark and the Escort,true legends.fact

  • Sweet.

Pity though that the car they drove wasn't the "real" LVX 942J"

Well at least they have both now been re-united.

  • the original car was wrecked in Ireland and then broke up shame

  • they said it was restored didnt they? im not trying to be sarcastic but didnt they?

  • nothing like the sound of a BDA on full chat!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I met tony once at millbrook testing ground in bedfordshire , small bloke but ok , this is a good vid and it all went pair shaped when the audis came along . Nice!

  • amazing! these cars were 2ltr all alloy cosworth BDA engined RS 1600's, still being developed today tho some with vauxhall, honda, cossie YB etc engines will (in the right conditions) give a modern WRC a run for its money.
