I've heard TWO excellent versions of this song: the original, by Meatloaf, and the cover by Alan Merrill, who was, for a time part of Meatloaf's Neverland Express band.

BOTH of those are GREAT versions, with pathos and drama and emotion.

This is flat, unemotional. She could have been singing her grocery list.
