    Hey, i need help.

    When i try to sync the ringtone to my iphone i have to check this box that syas "Sync Tones" and when i click it Itunes comes up with a box that says "Are you sure you want to Sync tones? All existing songs, movies, and tv shows on the iphone [iphone name] will be removed. I do not want to do this because my computer with my songs is in another country which i dont have acces to at the moment. Thanks.

  • this all worked untill i wanted to use the ringtone as a text sound....

  • I love you!!!!!

  • how do you get the ringtone section in iTunes

  • You don' need a second program to crop the file.

    Before you convert the file to AAC right click on the file

    Get Info -> Options

    change the Start at and Finish at times to the segment you want, hit OK

    IE you can do 0:00 and 0:30 or 0:30-0:60 if you think its a better part of the song

    then convert.

    This will create a 30 second AAC file.

  • THANK YOU!!

  • thank u so much ! this was really helpful. no way i was gonna spend 1.29 on a ringtone.

  • THANK YOU! A little confusing with the windows/mac differences and using the different editing program...but figured it out! Yea!!! I've got new ring tones now!

  • macfag. >:(

  • @Xeraxical hey i made sure it was a win/mac compatible tutorial

  • @BlackXhorneT still, you're a macfag now >:{

  • @Xeraxical i've run windows (98 - 7sp1) i've run ubuntu (10 only) and i've run mac (10.5.2 - 10.7dp3) and my honest opinion is that snow leopard (10.6.x mac) is the fastest/stablest os i've ever ran. and with porting tools like WINE and CXZ you can run 90% of windows programs, + mac only and many linux programs. from a developers standpoint (you being a programer) surely you can see that its really the only choice... or linux... basicaly anything but windows... build a hackintosh. you'l see

  • @BlackXhorneT We have mac's in college, they suck ass. I installed windows on one, bleh. D;

  • @Xeraxical ...if you're college can't set up its macs not to allow the students to install another OS (through VM, Parallels or bootcamp), then frankly you're college sucks ass... you should consider going somewhere that understands IT and how to set user privilege rights to disallow students from that sort of thing. also, you sir have too much free time... just use the mac and go back to windows when you get in. chill out ok?
