Correction, Johnny is 76 years old. I saw him here in St. Louis, MO last year. It was just incredible. He looks good, he is agile, and sounds just like he did in 1957. There is no other voice like this. I fell in love with Johnny when I was in 7th grade and have followed his career continuously. There is not like a quiet evening, a nice hi-ball and Johnny Mathis on the stereo.
Saw the great man sing this live last week in London... 75 and still right on top of his game.... Fantastic posting with great photo's, many thanks and love and best wishes to all out there who are into this timeless music....
Wouldn't that be horrifying, this song is playing, your having a nice relaxing dinner, enjoying this classic beautiful song, and your dinner date is Jessica Walter. As soon as the song is close to ending, she just sits there, stares at you, and then whips out a long slim sliver knife.
@Eds7570 now why would you think of such a groooooosum thing.....lol maybe she would burp instead of whipping out a long slim silver knife.....you should be a writer...lol :>)
The gorgeous orchestration & arrangement by the Legendary Glenn Osser. At Columbia in the 50's, Johnny had Glenn Osser / Ray Ellis / Percy Faith & Don Costa--all adding their own genius to the Sound Of Mr Johnny Mathis. Wolfsky9
What a voice; thank you Johnny for the decades of joy and bliss just listening to genius.

Listening this since age five, still flows like a gentle stream in some half-forgotten dream.

They don't write beautiful songs such as these any more today. It's so wonderful to hear Johnny Mathis sing this song with so much feeling......

@SuperPattigirl Yeah, Jessica Simpson or Marilyn Monroe would have been a much better choice for the end of this gorgeous song.

私が初めてMistyを聴いたのは、ジョニーマティスだったかも。
この透明感のある唄声がただただ懐かしい。
