hooray for Jim Caviezel! He stands strong for Our Lord, not caring what disney or anyone else says. Never give in, Jim, stand firm on The Truth, The One Foundation, The Lord Our God Who made all, knows all, and loves us whether we believe in Him, or love Him, or not. He does not need us to believe in Him in order for Him to be. He does not need us at all! But we would not be if not for Him. Praise God the Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth!
you can truly see Jim's heart for God as he speaks about Him. if only there were many more celebs like Jim who were willing to take on their FIRST life mission above all other things, how different a world it might be. much love from me to you, Jim for all you are continually doing for the Kingdom! Praise Jesus!!! God bless you and your family
so proud of jim!! although he is an actor , he is not shy to show the world his faith. so many of them try to hide their faith because of FAME... God Bless U Jim
James Caviezel almost cried when he narrated the text. God bless him for his strong faith. Indeed, Lord Jesus is the most powerful figure in the history, because He is God. His kingdom will never perish and He will rule for ever and ever!
Jim narrated in 2004 and 2005. I'm not sure if he did a 3rd time. His schedule has been busy, so I'm hoping that's why he hasn't been back. From the comments I heard at the performances I attended, he seemed to be the favorite of many of the regulars to the processional. A woman sitting next to me exclaimed, "He Believes, he Believes!!!". That is quite evident when you see and hear his reading of the scripture. It is beautiful! God Bless you, Jim.
I want you all to realize that after that year, Jim has not been invited back to narrate Candlelight since, whereas others have been invited multiple times. If it's because Jim went "off book" to present to Gospel and Disney got upset, then the company lost MAJOR points with me. It doesn't matter...God used Jim to present the Gospel message that year and who knows how many people heard the Gospel for the first time. Jim, you're the MAN!!!!!
I admire Jim Caviezel, and the way he stands up for what he truly believes! The way he recited this version of One Solitary Life brought tears to my eyes. He is a remarkable man to be a popular actor as well as an outspoken advocate for Jesus! YEAY!
Thank you so much for posting this video! I performed at Candlelight in the mass choir, and I remember that that particular trip was very difficult because of some personal stuff I was going through with my friends and my chorus. When James came backstage at our rehearsal, he was so generous and gracious to us all. Because of James, that was the best trip I ever made with my high school.
I've seen him do this a few times. The first show he did after "The Passion" he was very emotional. He's a GREAT reader!! I'd say top 5 best I've seen and I've seen MANY MANY.
Except that Jesus was from Nazareth, which as it was said in John 1:46, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" It wasn't much of a place back in Jesus' day, not compared to Jerusalem. It was definitely by ancient standards, as well as archaeological standards, an obscure village.
Let me live One Solitary Life.

I'm surprised they let him venture that far "off-book." Disney usually doesn't like that.
