Man, why oh why don't they make another Turtles arcade classic like this one? The drawing designs in this game were boss, the music was picked right, the bosses were colossal and I loved the way they announced each stage before the fight began. My favorite stage besides this one was 'Neon Night Riders!'
@wolfang0325 Rat King was only in the SNES version. The Arcade version did not have him since the arcade game came first. the SNES version is more of a continuation of the NES Turtles games (TMNT, TMNT 2: Arcade game, TMNT 3: Manhatten Project) while the arcade game is a sequel to the first Turtles arcade game.
The music in this game is awesome. It's timeless and I always wind up humming the themes to some of these levels in my head (Especially "Prehistoric Turtlesaurus").
Man, so much action on one screen! I know I commented on many of your videos Nz0x, but it's just that I'm a big fan of arcades. When I turn 20, I'm gonna have flashbacks lol.
Lol, i really appreciate all of your comments. Flashbacks, I believe, can be a really good thing, especially when it comes classic games like this :-D.
Very very true, and i totally agree with you. As a kid, i actually played the SNES version before playing the arcade version, and while the 4 player support for the arcade was a great element to the game, there just seemed to be alot more to the snes version. I liked your terminology of the comparisons of the two games, very impressive indeed :-).
The SNES version fixes a plot hole in the arcade version. In level 3 (arcade) Shredder comes out of nowhere and opens the time portal. The time travel scene in the Technodrome (SNES) makes a lot more sense.
You got a point, if they release Re-shelled for Wii Ware, think they should make it like the SNES version of the game, excepet Cement Man will appear as a duel-boss with either Slash or Leatherhead.
yeah. I had never played the arcade version and when I got reshelled I was like "what the hell" so I started watching these and now I see why it was like this.
Thank you :-). I definitely agree that not having the technodrome level is sorta a letdown, but i suppose the 4 player support made up for it. I played this game on an PC Emulator called MAME. There are probably more than a handful of places on the net that you can download. If you need any help, i definitely don't mind giving you a hand.
these turtles also need suncream.

They said the same thing. When the turtles die in the SNES version, they say "Oh, shell shock!"

Yay for fun in the Early Triassic!
BTW, there shouldn't be Pterosaurs until the Late Triassic, around 220 million years ago. Same for the theropods at 5:35 :-|)

(seeing as how the 360 is like the SNES and the PS3 is like the Genesis.)

Yeah, I notice the similarities from arcade to SNES. While the arcade has the unlimited special effects and some weird bosses (in Prehistoric).
The SNES has more features, more boss battles,
the Technodrome level and limited special effects.
So I say the SNES won this battle.
