  • @macca9292 now i speak the truth

  • ian brown is a fucking legend, so is liam gallagher

  • Every song he sings is memorable. What more can you say?

  • It's true he cant sing live, but when your as cool as him, you can get away with it !!!!!!

  • sad, he's become a bit of a parody of himself......

  • That other singer makes Ian look fookin brilliant

  • ian brown and liam gallagher are very different, Liam only started music because of Ian Brown so, they will be similar but not enough to say whose better, completely different singers

  • Shia Labeouf at 2:17

  • great song, shame he really cannot sing live, still fking genius tho

  • @Rorschach616 why cannot he sing live?

  • tuuuuuuuuune

  • whats the argument about liam gallagher and ian brown?

Both are legends, better than all the shite we have just now

  • @mooneynulson07 Coudln't be more right mate.

  • 'sch könnt heulen. So schön ist das!

  • good to see some things havent changed, hes still a "tuneless knob"

  • @robbocop1 Why are you here then? If you don't like him, fuck off. You're not wanted here. Your opinion matters for nothing. Go comment on music you do like would be a sane idea.

  • The need have a one off gigantic reunion show Spike Island Reincarnated!!!!!!

  • You gotta like the Gretsch Country Gent.

  • @nashr1752 somehow the guitarist always manages to fuck up the noodly squire bits

  • Mayor Of Manchester .....Standard

  • I think i'm the only one Stone Roses fan in Brazil.

My favorite Stone Roses tune and one of my favorites ever.

Oasis and Stone Roses just wanted to be adored and they're gonna Live forever.

  • @RamonMadFerIt Você não está sozinho brother!

  • Second Coming is well underrated!! It's an awesome album with some of the songs bettering those on The Stone Roses.

  • It's not the roses, no but you have to have a heart of stone not to enjoy this a bit. I'm just happy these songs didn't die with the roses as it took a LONG time for Brownie to start playing these again. We'd all love Squire, Reni and Mani behind him, but that aint happening, so this was the best we could wish for.

  • As much as I hate to say it, the backing singer is the better singer here...

  • @harrylennon Fuck off Simon Cowell!

  • I believe the theory that man evolved from the ape when i look at Ian here

  • I love the roses. But being brutally honest, this is a sterile, anaemic performance. Dont let nostalgia for the Roses blind you to how bad this really sucks.

  • Legend ! One Love One Heart and One Soul!

  • I love his little twirl at the beginning, that's got to be the coolest twirl the world has ever seen.

  • I didn't mention Second Coming because all but 3 songs on that album were written by John Squire anyway. And it's the Roses' equivalent of Be Here Now, with songs that are simply too long and not very good. Fair enough then, maybe Noel has been more consistent over a longer period of time.

  • Come on let's be honest, Liam Gallagher owes an awful lot to Ian Brown but everyone knows Ian Brown is one of the worst live singers ever

Liam was one of the best frontmen ever, especially in Oasis's early years, he sounded fucking amazing live, ten times better then Ian

  • @Renegademaster15 I agree with you. Ian's singing was just about OK on the studio stuff, but he's always sounded like an out of tune foghorn when singing live, even more so now. But I think he more than makes up for this with his songwriting which is far superior to Noel Gallagher's.

  • @paulph12002 I don't agree with that notion what so ever, Ian Brown has written some absolute corkers from time to time, however Noel is infinitely more consistent, end of the day Ian Brown has never written Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Don't Look Back In Anger, Talk Tonight, Slide Away, Cigarettes and Alcohol etc. Not to mention most of Noel's best writings are B Sides like Idler's Dream, Angel Child, Rockin' Chair, Masterplan, Half the World Away etc.

  • @Renegademaster15 And at the end of the day also, Noel Gallagher has never written Sally Cinnamon, This is the One, Made Of Stone or I Wanna be Adored. All of those were written by Ian Brown alone. And for every decent Noel Gallagher song like some of the ones you mention, there's some real turkeys like Stand By Me, with insightful lines like "Made a meal and threw it up on Sunday".

  • @paulph12002 And for every decent Stone Roses song, there's Second Coming...

I noticed everything you said was what he written when in Stone Roses rather than solo as well, while they are all brilliant songs, Noel has definitely written a whole lot more

  • @Renegademaster15 But yeah, I think we can agree that Ian's singing isn't exactly great. Noel definitely has the edge there.

  • @paulph12002 Noel is a good song writer and performer but Ians got the edge by creating the music Noel aspired to. Ian is a troubador where as Noel is a minstral. Ians lyrics have meaning whereas Noels are usually about his ex birds, or so says Liam Gallagher.

  • the guitar player looks like john....

  • LIAM GALLAGHER WISHES HE WAS IAN BROWN

  • @4STONEROSES Liam gallagher is LIAM GALLAGHER

  • @anonymeprod Liam Gallagher is the best singer and frontman EVER

  • @DannyMadFerIt now thats a joke if u want me to name all those better than Liam then just ask or say sorry for talking crap

  • @KingHotdog I think you don't understand. I said "EVER" .. that means there's nobody who's better than Liam.

  • @DannyMadFerIt ok John Lennon, Shaun Ryder, Brian Ferry, Ian Brown, Ozzy Osbourne, Axle Rose, Mick Jagger, Ray Davies, Bobby Gillespie and even Damon Albarn are better than Liam SIMPLES

  • @DannyMadFerIt dick head..liam doesn't even write 99% of oasis' songs, not even the best singer in oasis ref. slide away live. and definitely not the best front man! ref. kinghotdog so what's he "best" at..? playing 3 chords on songbird..? it's cunts like you who have clearly been drinking the fluoride in tap water way to much that dumbs you down. either that or they're still allowing cousins to marry. fucking dick head!!!

  • @MrCrazyb23 BONEHEAD WAS THE BEST SINGER IN OASIS IVE HEARD THE UNRELEASED JAPANESE BOOTLEG WITH HIM SINGING YOUR NOT A TRUE OASIS FAN IF YOUVE NEVER HEARD IT!

  • @revengeguy sorry...who are you? "true" oasis fan?! kindly fuck off

  • @revengeguy really?? where can i hear it???

  • @DannyMadFerIt couldn't resist... DICK HEAD!! one more time with feeling... D I C K H E A D !!!!

  • @anonymeprod but he still wishes

  • @4STONEROSES How do you really work that one out really? Oasis were a lot bigger than The Stones, I love both bands, but Liam is altogether better. Both of them are gods though.

  • @bradhatesmanu Liam Gallagher is better? Jesus ive heard it all now

  • @lewis21safe I like them both, but for me Liam is better. Especially live. It's just my opinion.

  • @4STONEROSES and he wishes he was john lennon lol, funny that no one ever wishes they were liam gallagher

  • @Rorschach616 lol true mate

  • @4STONEROSES Ian was his big idol... In my opinion bigger than John Lennon

  • @DannyMadFerIt SPOT ON PAL...

  • @DannyMadFerIt SPOT ON PAL...

  • @DannyMadFerIt spot on pal

  • Ian brown...liam Gallagher both a couple of legends

  • A difficult song to sing i reckon - long low verses and soaring choruses..... One of their best songs though...

  • A difficult song to sing in honesty.... Low rumbling riffs and soaring choruses - one of their best songs in my humble opinion....

  • I actually think he sings pretty reasonably here!

  • i remember being stoned and listening to this. good days.

  • Bad singing here...but a good performance...I love this song. The Stone Roses first album is magic

  • I want him

  • great song

    que grande musica

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • genius talented writer shame he cant fucking sing live hahahahaha

  • Sound isn`t great but i still love it

  • i'm a ian brown fan ..liam gallagher is a tosser....fuck off

  • LOL!!! This guy is clearly copying off Liam Gallagher!!! Why cant he make his own image up, the fuckin nob head!!

  • @GreenGobllin Ian Brown came WAY before Liam Gallagher, IMO Liam is an Ian impersonator

  • @GreenGobllin Haha this has to be a piss take

  • @GreenGobllin you are a fucking nob head how the fuck does ian brown copy liam gallagher your heads in your arse liam gallagher would sook ian browns balls to be as good as him

  • I love stone roses and they released a few great tracks (with some great lines in there) but he's not the best since Lennon etc, Nor is he "what a frontman should be"

    There is music outside UK.

I'm a manc and I find a few peoples claims on here insane.

Gallagher,Burgiss,Ashcroft and loads of others ripped his 'act' off but believe it or not OASIS were/are not the pinnacle of music.

And anyways Musics fucked now anyways.

  • @terryfink Music is not fucked now actualy...what cave you living in? Just had an amazing weekend with a new band to prove it.

  • @STFCstoneroses The cave is called UK, You had a good night good on you but it doesn't change the fact the music industry is fucked here.

If the Bands on Radio 1 etc are the now the best we have to offer (because the are the ones widely played) then we are up shit creek. USA still have Genres. We have pop and pop rock.

  • @terryfink Fuck radio 1. Theres alot of decent bands out there at the moment, new bands. Check out a band called The Ruling Class, or The Moons...two great acts.

  • @STFCstoneroses Oh I know that, i'm talking the general poplulation only hear whats on there.

  • hes dressed like mickey maguire lol

  • I can slag him off then, the guy is an asxhole. Great music, his voice is flat in this video anyway.....typical idiot. I expected more from him, i guess born MANC always MANC scum. I honestly wanted more from him and was gutted that he is just the typical Manchester lad. I mean come on, he started grung in US, and gave those paddies their start, and Blur, etc etc...

  • even if at times hes off key , hes still cool as F.. and just epic, , his gigs are a buzz, roll on manc dec..

  • I agree with PaulBriden, he made great music with the stone roses but he is just relentlessly off key. Ever. And this is not a very hard song!

  • the fore runner!!!!!! - imitated by oasis etc - but not bettered :)

  • the fore runner!!!!!! - imitated by oasis etc - but not bettered :)

  • Ian is one of the greatest, but in this vid he looks like a pimp...

  • Who cares if anyone says they don't think the Beatles were tops? That is like .0005% of a billion that do like them. Talk about a minority.

  • drummer is the coolest guy around

  • @SwampyQ2 The drummer or the Indian tabla player? ;)

  • @ellycat the drummer, but the Indian is also a stone cold cooler!

  • Comment removed

  • @turtleneckmusic I'm delusional and he's great. So what have you ever done that's great?

  • Tell you what, his band isn't bad either. Not the Roses obviously, but they do a good job. Better even than the replacements the Roses got for Squire and Reni after they left. Let's be honest, it's not the Roses without king monkey. So even though I'd love a Roses reunion, this lot would be a good second. Roses tour anyone?

  • walks like a champion

  • A great comeback. John squire, Ian Brown, the Stones Roses inspire my life whenever i listen to their songs for the past 20 yrs. One of the best Indie Manchester Band ever produced and still it will be forever. Forever "Stone Roses"

    Aszri aka Wak

  • 3:28 - epic! He's not thinking only about himself...Show me a person in today's music factory that does that! Not many of them...

  • Viva La Monkey.....!!!!

  • I actually like Ian's voice live. It's a bit rawer, but good nonetheless.

  • ian brown is a fucking boss.

  • He is slowly morphing into Jimmy Saville though eh?!

  • @Eightball69 hahaha ffs

  • you say it like it is, he is the coolest man alive,i have seen him live counless times and always at the front row. fucking genious.....you can keep your fucking liam gallagers this is the real deal!!!!!

  • @CraptinPants76 well fkn said man, right with ya on that.

  • @ABITTERSWEETGIRL this man is un fkn touchable, no one comes fkn close to brownie.

  • i don't really get why this guy is seen as such a legend.

he can't really sing well live. and his solo albums haven't been truly great.

of course The Stone roses had an incredible album but other then that, Ian Brown doesn't seem great

  • @basman2006 he aint the best singin live granted, but take another listen to his solo stuff!

  • good front man, amazing music but terrible singer.

  • wow!!! the legendary ian brown!!!

  • Is he Liam Gallagher's father?

  • Flatter than a pancake, this is Dismal. Sounds like a bad lookalike contest.

  • he rarely performs this

  • Madchester,madchester.............

  • whys he got safety goggles on?

  • KING MONKEY STILL HAS IT.

    the definition of "cool"

  • Ian Brown is the everyman, the working class yob who made it....and I think we all find inspiration in him, whether working class or not quite....but surely, all working class people should find a way to get along.

  • ask Karl Marx lol

  • he is a proof that you dont need great voice to sing a song

  • dominates that stage

  • im a big fan of his and roses tunes but if lets b honest he cant sing live for shit , even in the old days he couldnt. the best live singers iv seen are james dean bradfield (manics), and Simon Fowler (ocean colour scene).

  • Fuckin love playin this tune on me guitar.brown is fuckin amazing.legend

  • i was half expecting the electricity to fail on the first chorus!

  • @drav6 ahaha

  • One difference between Liam and Ian: Liam never touching the microphone!! =)

  • Reminds me when I saw PiL in 1990 or so...the biggest cheer from the audience was when Lydon did EMI and God Save the Queen, Brown will eventually reform the roses, its only a matter of time and ego deflating.

  • @punkoid76 i saw him in helsinki the other night and biggest cheer he got was for 'laugh now' of the new album.his new album is fuckin amazing . he stands on his own as an artist and he knows it

  • That may be, but everybody at the gig would rather see the Stone Roses reform and play those songs, and they will do eventually.

  • true about every1 rather seeing the roses.but i hope your wrong about them reforming eventually.i love the stone roses but i think they would ruin the legend if they reform.

  • The lyrics are brilliant he never wrote a bad song he's a very intelligent man

  • @wetend123

    With intelligent hair.

  • he like monkey ... but awesome monkey

    I luv him

  • we are all made of stone... love the words:) what colour where the roses?

  • i think i just realised what this song is about and its fucin sick

  • Anybody who slags off Ian Brown probably has terrible dress sence and stinks...you know it to be true. The man is a fucking legend, how a real front man should be

  • @STFCstoneroses You have to face it mate he cannot sing live, i know the debut Stone Roses is probably one to the greatest albums ever, but he cannot sing without the help of studio trickery.

  • @STFCstoneroses Ian is the coolest lead man ever and sets the bar in his own era. Anyone who denies shouldnt even be encouraged and should simply ignored. He is also the best wordsmith since Lennon and Syd Barret.

  • @STFCstoneroses Who cares about is dress sence !

  • @xpintainho1x You cunt! Its all about dress sense!

  • Live ist er einfach der HAMMER! Hab ihn Letztes Jahr auf V Festival gesehen. Jetzt kommt er nach Mannheim! Das wird so endgeil! YEAH!!!!!!

  • I'm kin envious...

  • I'm kin envious...

  • i was there watching this sends shivers down me spine haw good! crowd were superb!!

  • best song. but his voice???

  • It wont be long before you are twice his age.

Difference is you'll still be shit.

  • I said in the good way, sorry people.

When we are old, our voice is different

    I like Stone Roses actually

  • i bet he could knock the fuck out of you

  • @Sanguru100 you tit he's fucking amazing

  • LET ME B UR FANTASY

  • i was there !

this was just like seein the roses

he played about 7 roses songs

    REFORM THE ROSES

  • Comment removed
