i hope that all these movies being shot in Rio will benefit the country in some positive way..............don't just go in there use the people as extras, show their dilapidated state, then go back to the US make millions and forget about these ppl, but it nice to see something positive come out of this movie
I remember tickets for this sold out so fast at the Toronto Film Fest. My dad and I couldn't get in so we just went and got some middle eastern food near the theatre. Glad to see it's coming out on a larger scale!
@al7osani1 I suppose along the lines of Shwarmas, falafels and a lot of vegetable dishes I don't know the names of but are damn tasty. Around Bloor and Bathurst.
Absolutely compelling, and a great initiative, but unfortunately those projects stay always on such a small scale. Nevertheless, Vik Muniz took the initiative to do this - great respect.
@DeepRoyal88 thats the whole point. 1 person doing something on a small scale. We should all be doing something on a small scale to help. Bring heaven to earth

Do you remember....
1. When you could get on youtube without a huge ad at the top of your homepage?
2. When EVERY music video was from a user, not Vevo?
3. When you could use it as a music player without having an ad in the beginning of a music vid?
4. When copyright infringement wasn't a big deal?
5. When it was YOUtube?
Copy and paste onto videos telling youtube how PISSED we are, the YOU in YOUtube, are with their greedy corporate butts
thumbs up if you agree

this movie shows how people live in another part of the world
make you feel lucky to be who you are
and try to help them make something that going to help them and improve their lifestyle , unfourtuntly most people tend to watch and do nothing
If you help people in need
you will get help in your time of need
i realy care about how people live around the world and it's totally different in each place , trying to get a better life
